Phillipians 3:1-21

11/09/2015 11:15

Read the words of Paul who wrote to the believers in Phillipi as if he is speaking to you today...

Further, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you.

Phl 3:2

Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh.

 Phl 3:3

For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by His Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh-

 Phl 3:4

though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more.

 Phl 3:5

Circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee;

 Phl 3:6

as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.

 Phl 3:7

But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.

 Phl 3:8

What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ

 Phl 3:9

and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ-the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

 Phl 3:10

I want to know Christ-yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like Him in His death,

 Phl 3:11

and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead

 Phl 3:12

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

 Phl 3:13

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,

 Phl 3:14

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

 Phl 3:15

All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too, God will make clear to you.

 Phl 3:16

Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

 Phl 3:17

Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.

 Phl 3:18

For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.

 Phl 3:19

Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.

 Phl 3:20

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

 Phl 3:21

who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.

Uninterrupted Felowship With God

11/09/2015 10:46

Friend, the Will of God is to have uninterrupted fellowship with you. Pure Love flowing from Him to you. Blessing and favour graciously given to you. Mercy and Truth poured out over you every morning for you to walk through your day.

Establish that connection to Him. His arms are stretched out towards you.

Will you walk in fellowship with Him?

Quieten your mind to hear only His voice. When you know what you see and hear is not Godly Truth, just deny it in your spirit. Do not accept it.

This is a time to be strict with yourself. Your soul deserves to have all the lovely things that God is freely giving out.

Get rid of the worldly banalities and free up large chunks of space in your mind to be filled with Love, Light, Peace, Truth, Discernment, Grace, Mercy, and Understanding of the Scriptures.

And pray. Tell the Father of your foolishness. Admit your unfaithfulness and insincerity and pride. Ask for help on your new Path.

Walk closely with Him every day. Be an overcomer with His help. He will walk with you and guide you into a deeper relationship just the Way He knows how; and that is best for your particular circumstances.

Trust the process and be faithful and confident in your new belief.

Bible Verses John and Romans

11/07/2015 04:56

Jesus said the following words and the Disciple John has recorded them in this way...

John 14:21

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:23

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him.

The Apostle Paul wrioe the following...

Romans 5:5

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans - Blue Letter Bible content

11/07/2015 04:28

Friend, today I have gathered some information about the Letter to the Romans  by the Apostle Paul that I have copied from The Blue Letter Bible www.blueletterbible.org

This is a wonderful resource that is not contaminated by foolishness from the world but is filled with content that can be trusted for your Godly and Spiritual growth in the Lord.

The Epistle to the Romans

Date and Location of Composition

Paul wrote the letter to the Romans from the city of Corinth, while he was on his third missionary journey. At the time he was gathering an offering from the Gentile Christians for the church in Jerusalem (15:25; Acts 24:17).

This would place the letter's composition date at ca. AD 56.

Paul mentions three people that help to identify the letter's composition with Corinth:
Phoebe (16:1),
Gaius (16:23),
and Erastus (16:23).

He sent Phoebe of Cenchrea to the church in Rome as the bearer of the epistle. With her being from Cenchrea, she would have had ties to Corinth because Cenchrea is the port city for Corinth.

There was a Gaius referenced in 1Cor 1:14 as one who lived in Corinth and many have identified him as the Titius Justus in Acts 18:7. Erastus was the city's treasurer (or director of public works) and in Corinth an inscription was discovered that refers to an Erastus as the city aedile (i.e., an official in charge of public works, etc.), which some have corresponded to Paul's reference to him.

 Purpose of this letter

Paul was writing to a church that he had never visited and a casual reading of the epistle does not convey the idea that he was dealing with situational issues (cf. the epistles to the Corinthians). Here Paul wrote with regards to the big picture-laying down the doctrine of soteriology.

He wrote that they would know the gospel of Christ. He also wanted to inform the church regarding his future plans because those plans would involve them.

At the time of writing the epistle, Paul was about to take the offering that he had collected from various churches to the poverty stricken church in Jerusalem. After that, he intended on going to visit the Roman church for a time to preach the Gospel to them. His subsequent plans were then to go westward to preach the gospel in Spain.

Themes andTheology of this Letter to the Romans

The greatest and most evident theme in the epistle is the subject of the gospel. Paul begins his letter by stating that he was called to be an apostle for the gospel's sake (1:1). Paul's dedication belonged to Christ and his gospel as he preached it with his whole heart (1:9).

The gospel is also portrayed as the power of God unto salvation-that is able to save those who believe (1:16).

This same gospel was not accepted by all the Israelites (10:16), yet graciously (and fortunately) includes the gentiles as well (15:16).

God's righteousness is being revealed in this gospel from faith to faith (1:17).

The only way this righteousness may be accessed is through faith. Sola Fide-it is by faith alone.

Man can never make himself righteous, nor will a single ounce of merit do anything in regards to salvation (Eph 2:8, 9).

Paul adds to this and says that the one who is righteous by faith shall live (1:17).

And this is his gospel which he develops throughout Romans. In this letter Paul shows why it is necessary to be justified by faith. Because of man's sin, man needs to be justified, and therefore, as a result, (eternal) life will come.

Notes...
Matthew Black rendered it as follows: "'The just-by-faith (in Christ) shall live (now and for ever)'-and the words, of course, mean enjoy fullness of life, now and fore ever." [11] It has an eternal consequence-everlasting life: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (6:23).

Anders Nygren took note of Paul's systematic approach to the gospel in Romans and wrote the following in his commentary: "Step by step, persistently and consistently, he hews his way through the flood of thoughts which present themselves to him as he undertakes to explain the meaning of God's work in Christ." [12]

Ultimately, the Epistle to the Romans is undoubtedly Pauline in its very essence. It is the theologically richest of all his letters and has played an instrumental role in many great movements of the Christian church.

Teacher, Prophet, God?

11/06/2015 21:39

Friend, we have all heard Jesus referred to as a great teacher.

Others say he was a prophet.

Most will deny he is God.

But to receive Salvation this is someting we must think long and hard about in a meditative way.

Yes, He is a Teacher. Notice the Capitals? (denotes Lordship)

Yes, he is a Prophet. A Godly one.

As a man He came to teach us and prophesy, about His Kingship and about His return.

But when He ascended to Heaven in the presence of many witnesses, He sat at the right hand of the Father and joined the Father as the Word, as God, retaining his experience as a man.

He speaks and creates, ( through speaking.) This is how He commanded the world into existence.

He tells us in the Bible that He is God. That He is Creator of all things and that He is Light and there is no darkness in Him, so He is not a blend of Goodness and evil.

He is not just a teacher, but He is Teacher and He is not just a prophet but He prophesied many things in His Word the Bible and they have come true.  Some are in the future and look to be unfolding in worldy affairs at this time - so we may live to see those prophesies come true also.

Men of old did see His prophesies come ture. His birth and death and resurrection being just three of them.

You cannot be a believer in God Almighty without acknowledging His Son. His Word says so.

This is the one thing that always got me when I read other religious material.

It is the difference and we will accept it to be a truth, when we seek His answers on this subject.

It is very freeing for the mind to accept and believe this, because many things just fall into place and the wonder of that happening in a life is something awesome to receive.

In this evil world there are many who claim to be God or Jesus but they are imposters and charlatans and fools, seeking to distract us from the real thing - even some who live a pure (to the outside world) existence - but God sees the heart and cannot be fooled (and will not be mocked.)

Jesus has stated in His Holy Word how He will return. We will all see Him. Certain Biblical Prophecies must happen in a certain sequence before He returns in great Glory with the saints ( the Redeemed/Forgiven/Saved) so He tells us to be alive and awake and aware - and when we see these things come to pass, to look up for our redemption is soon to be.

Will you be one of those who knows Him and sees the things happening like the watchman on the wall and is able to speak to those you love and others who are in distress about Him?

Teacher, Prophet or God?

Which is He to you?

Now is the day to choose or to begin to seek the answer.

Do not delay, friend!

Deep Inward Relationship

11/04/2015 19:21

Friend, have you entered into a deep inward relationship with our Lord?

This is what we all are seeking for, as we look in every direction for happiness and joy.

But, friend, there is another who seeks to keep us from having a deep inward relationship with our Lord Jesus.

This other entity is evil and desires nothing but our destruction. He will along with his army of evil beings, come against us in every way he is allowed by God who wants us to seek only Him - because He is showing you in the Creation of the Universes that He is ALMIGHTY.

The devil cannot create like God can. He is able to manipulate and use God's creation to falsely portray miracles and such, but they are not based on anything Good and Truthful; more on deceitfulness and cunning.

God expects us to know Truth when we see it and not be deceived.

He has left His Word here for us and we can come to know Him through the pages. He tells us Who He is and what He does and How He thinks and judges.

If something doesn't measure up to Holy Truth and Goodness, it is not of God and we should deny it and rebuke it from our lives.

Today, begin to have that deep inward relationship with God and His Son and the Holy Spirit.

They will help you to know them and understand them and this will bring you joy, happiness and peace and you will feel the weight of the worry and evil of the world lifted from you.

Be a faithful soul and stay on the Righteous Path to God the Father through the Sacrifice of the Son who left the Holy Spirit here with us, to guide us into a relationship with the Son.

God's Mercy

11/03/2015 11:16

Friend, are you aware of God's Mercy?

It is new every morning for any one of us who desires to accept it.

God will forgive all your yesterdays - if you accept His Mercy for today and for the rest of your life.

Live in His Mercy for you everyday.

Let it be in your thoughts all day long and rise each morning refreshed because of the new Mercies awaiting you for that day.

He has chosen each of us and has made His Mercy available to each of us.

This is a Biblical truth. It is God's Nature for us while we live here on earth.

This short time is filled with His Mercy for us and we must accept it in order to have His Eternal Mercy.

We are weak and unstable and think mighty thoughts about ourselves and this tends to get in the way of the Mercy He has provided for us.

Just the fact that He has allowed your birth is a Merciful Act of God.

Take advantage of His Mercy - accept it in all humility and your soul will be renewed.

Thank You, Jesus for your Mercy!
