Stiff Neck, Hardened Heart

Friend, there are two things the Lord advises against in the Bible.

One is the "stiff neck".

The stiff neck on a person indicates to the Lord that they are unwilling and totally set against knowing anything about God.

Each stiff necked person has his or her own reasons for not wanting to "know God."

The number of reasons are endless, but usually include "I am "right" in all my own thinking," and "I have no need of Almighty God."

Sometimes we think we are not ready, haven't "lived" enough.

God is kept on the back burner of our lives and we hope that "later," will work out for us to be saved.

The other is the "hardened heart."

This is the mind and heart set against God.

These souls think that "God hasn't done anything for me. I've had to do my life all on my own." Look at all the bad things that have happened to me since I was a child. Where was God in all this?"

Nothing could be further from the Truth.

It just takes a seeking and searching of God's heart, leaving behind the anger and angst, to find that He is Wholly Love and Just, and that He Loves fully and Justly.

He is Holy, and we are not.

He is the Creator and we are not.

We were created for His Purpose, not ours.

And He gave Free Will to us so that we can shun Him if we want.

He does not make us choose Him.

But if we choose to not believe in Him, what choice does He have for His Holy Kingdom, but to deny us entry.

He is the Grand Potter and will dispose of the broken pots as He so Wills according to Holy Justice and Law.

He will not allow Heaven to be contaminated with evil.

All who view this Great Judgement  will recognize His Goodness and Love, Power and Authority and praise Him.

These are things to think on for the stiff necked, and hardened hearted, while still soujourning in this world of time..
