Deuteronomy 8:7

For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills.

Friend the above verse is your Word for the day.  

God is saying He has shepherded you into a good land filled with beautiful clean water that bursts forth from fountains and springs and hills, bringing life to the land.

Will you not stay there?

Isn't it preferable to the dry and barren life you have now?

He seeks to water (heal) your shrivelled up dry soul and spirit so that it can be truly alive in Him; filled with abundant faith and fruit from the new spirit He is nurturing.

Friend, do not indulge in self-pity.

Be glad you know the Risen Saviour who died that you may have Life.

You were not perfect when you were saved and all the sins of life engulfed you (and everyone else in this world).

The daily walk with Jesus is important because He is guiding and teaching and we should be growing in Knowledge and Wisdom.

It is easy to beg and ask for God to change our circumstances. But God says it is better to have a thorn in our side than to pick us up and drop us down somewhere else.  The reason being that the "somewhere else" will also have it's own set of problems (sinners) to deal with and soon we will be begging and crying again for relief.

Better to learn of His Ways and how to overcome the problems that beset us and walk through them with Jesus by our side than to be removed from them.

God is making a Way for you right now and it is best to stay constant in your faith and remain close through prayer. Walk in His Light and Peace and Comfort.  Know He is with you and making a Way where there seems to be no way.

Learn to forgive as you have been forgiven.  Keep looking up to Him to experience the wonderful beauty that is the Lamb of God, the Holy Sacrifice, the One who loves you completely.

No more self-pity! It is a means by which God can help you to grow in His Light.  Accept the burden as a beautiful gift - it keeps you close to your Saviour.  Without it you may wander and get lost again - He knows the true state of your soul and spirit and what it needs to stay faithful.

Friend, the Lord is truly The Holy One.

He dwells in the Holiest Place, yet He is seeking to have a relationship with you, a sinner like myself.

Why do we keep Him behind us?  Always the back is turned!

It is so foolish when He has made a Way for us to be able to stand before Him, facing Him and seeing His Greatness. 

In Christ's Holy Sacrifice, the Perfect Sacrifice, we can have forgiveness of our sins and be covered in the Blood shed; and have gained the right to stand before God in forgiveness of all sin.

The Holy One has left His Word for us to chew on and have our hunger and thirst satisfied.

The Bible is God's Word and it is our Friend in times of doubt and hurt and turmoil.  In it we find Solace and Truth and Wisdom, for our situation. 

It is our Guidebook for Life. A Troubleshooter  - go to the back and look up the a word  ( like - suffer) and find the chapter and verses to see what God has to say on the subject and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your own heart and mind through those words.

You may find the weapon to use against an enemy; or food to feed your spirit. 

God's Word doesn't change either.  His Law is Just and stands forever.

The Holy One has a lot to say in the Holy Bible and satan would like to keep you from reading it.  It is that Powerful.

We can depend on God's Word, the Holy Bible to be our Rock of Stability and Security. 

Friend, have you found that prayer changes things?

God is seeking believers who will stand in the gap between Him and mankind and pray for God's Will to be done on earth.

Here is my prayer for today concerning any reader of this blog.

Father God, I raise my hands in praise to You because you are Good and full of Truth.

Forgive my sins Lord.

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and let your Spirit flow out and bless all the spoken and unspoken needs of all those who have come to read these words. 

I thank You for the many souls from China, Ukraine, Germany, Netherlands, USA, Australia, UK, France and all the other countries who have sought and found something to read that You have drawn them to. 

Lord God, it is You who can heal and help us find the Truth, and I ask You Lord to soften hearts and minds so that Your Powerful Word has a place to settle, and be a renewing force in hearts and minds and bodies.

I pray Your Wonderful Comfort, for those who are hurting from what the world and it's desires have created and poured out on the people You have chosen to be Your people, Your Son's brothers and sisters.

Give us all Godly Strength and Wisdom to be followers of Yours; to hear what You are saying, and to be active and obey Your Will, in all consuming Love and Truth for all humans  - and all of Your Creation.

Fill us Lord, with Light, and Love and Peace!

Friend, think about God's Grace and Mercy.

But for His Grace you would not be here.

He is the Lifegiver and allows our weaknesses because they are useful in drawing us close to Him for our recognition of Him.

His Perfect Will speaks life and health over us but we sometimes make choices not in accordance with His Perfect Will.

His Grace is the element that keeps us alive.  During our lifetime His Grace has kept us from falling headlong into the abyss of ruin.

Look into the past - even yesterday - do you not see His Grace at work?

Is He not a Gracious God?

When you see the Grace of God  has been over your life you must praise Him.  It is a form of repentance; an acceptance of His Goodness over our foolishness.

God will join you in the praises and be with you on the Path to teach and guide you.

Friend, have you made the choice to follow God's Son -Jesus?

Hopefully so!

If not, why?

This is your eternal question. 

Set out all your reasons now.  God knows they are many; your reasons for denying Him.

Write them down, or speak them out.  Have a dialogue with self about them and let them breathe.  Don't hold them so close to your heart and mind.

Perhaps there is no God because you were treated badly as a child?

Or maybe you pray for things and never get them?

Put all your arguments forth.  Let the universe know.

But friend, keep this to yourself.  Don't cause further damage to your soul by getting other innocents involved just yet. 

A day may come when you will be fully enlightened and meet these innocents again and see the damage you did. They will be accounted to you.

Let your search for the Truth be done with a pure heart and mind. Put aside all anger and malice and open your heart to knowing Truth.

Then you can make a good choice for your soul and spirit.

The choice is ours to make and we have this short lifetime in which to choose the way we will go.

Everyday you are at the crossroads.  Choose today the way or The Way to eternal life. 

Friend, has your life been interrupted?

Stop and find God in it.  What is He asking of you?  What is He showing you?

He has allowed something to happen and He is there for you to turn to.  He wants you to recognize Him in the interruption.

Many times it can be God answering a deep call from your heart.  Something you haven't even verbalized. 

He is saying, "I AM."  "See Me in this situation."  "What good there is, comes from My Hand."  "I love you and want to have a relationship with you."  "I want to save you from the doom you are headed for in eternity."  "Seek Me and I will be your God."

Do you hear Him, friend?

Does He have to turn your life upside down for you to acknowledge Him?  Why go on and allow evil to be your mentor with it's insincere words and guidance in the ways of the world that only leads to eternal damnation?

Picture two sets of train tracks.  Both headed in the same direction for now, but at the last stop you get off and go in a different direction than the other people on the train running paralel with yours.

On your train there are many people all well fed and dressed, with great riches perhaps, happy, contented, enjoying the journey with great merriment.  You knew there was an undercurrent in other carriages of angry and mean spirited people, even outright evil people but until they entered your carriage to bother others, it did not matter to you.

Your carriage, your "little world" is full of happiness and you don't care what others do. 

But, friend, hell will not leave you to being happy.  You have been deceived and not accepted God Almighty's Son as your Saviour and you now are alone at the Great Judgement and have no worthwhile plea to present to God in order to be accepted into Heaven.

He will show you the errors you made and you will admit He is Supreme and His Law is Perfect.

Why not admit this fact now so you can pull the cord for the train you are on to stop, and you can run and jump on the other train that is headed to Paradise?
