Prayer Is A Weapon

05/29/2015 15:10

Friend, do you feel like you are being attacked?  Does it seem you cannot advance in the faith?  Are you "held back" by an unseen force?

The Holy Spirit urges us to pray at all times. Prayer is the answer the Holy Bible says.  The Father hears all our prayers.  It is the weapon we can use against our adversary, the devil and his demonic army.

They are the ones who are keeping you from God.  They want to see you disassociate from your connection to the Spirit and Jesus.

Why would this be?  Because they know that eventually you will understand that the only thing that will conquer them in your life is prayer from a faithful and grateful heart.

We are in a battle daily with evil, and prayer is our only defence.

Use it wisely. Pray for yourself and others like you never have before, and pray continuously, as you go about your day. Praise the Lord for His knowledge and the answers He has for your problems.  Be available with a humble heart to receive all He has for you.  Recognize His hand at work and thank Him, because He will change things to make a way for you even when you don't see results quickly - He is at work when you pray and praise.

Ask for wisdom and safety for the journey of life.  Ask for urgent needs to be fulfilled. Ask Him to change your heart to know Him on a deeper level, to understand His Law and judgements. Pray for your loved ones to have Salvation, to have softened hearts and minds that will accept Jesus as Lord.

If you are in danger, ask the Lord to surround you with His Holy angels to protect you.

King Solomon decided long ago that to ask God for Godly wisdom was the best request a man could make of God.  Wisdom will tell you to wait on God, to obey God, to learn from God, to love God, to have a personal relationship with God. When you do this He will fill you with abundant life and inner joy, give you an understanding beyond what evil can offer, of the world and heaven.  Your knowledge will pervade all your choices and be pleasing to God from whom blessings and love are flowing to you when you allow God to be the only One you look to for answers.

We are given prayer as a weapon to use and as a means of having a personal relationship with the Father.

Micah 6:8b

05/29/2015 11:25

Micah 6:8b    What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.

Friend, we learn in other scriptures that a born again Christian can have a bold faith but it is not the boldness of the world that Jesus asks us to have.  It's more of a confidence within, that tells us we know our Saviour in a personal way.  (We have a relationship of which the bonds are strong.)

Here Jesus asks us to walk justly in all our dealings with others.  Sometimes others will not understand that justness but you can only pray that at some stage in their life the Holy Spirit will be able to get through to them and they will see that you did deal justly with them.

We have a set of laws to adhere to - both Godly and of the world.  They should always be a part of our conscious decision making.  To know those laws in the inward parts is to give us the ability to quickly use that knowledge to always make lawful decisions.

Will we make mistakes? Yes in our young years but as we go along in life and practise godliness, we become much better at hearing the Spirit when He corrects us - thereby  allowing us to make the correction that keeps us on the right path.

Jesus also speaks of kindness and this should always be a part of justice.  Not to break a law in favour of kindness, but to deal kindly taking into account the severity or continual injustice that is being perpetrated.

After all, Jesus deals kindly and justly with us.  His mercies are new every morning.  Today we get another chance to get it right, to accept Him as our Saviour-Lord; to begin to walk humbly with Him and to accept the guidance of the Holy Spirit and; to know the greatest Love of all has loved you and wants to be your Redeemer.

He paid the price for you to get into Heaven.  He shed the Blood.  He was the Sacrifice.  He suffered the penalty set by God, for the sins of your soul.

If He is calling you, thank Him and know that to Him you are, "Beloved, child of Mine."

The world will never do that for you - only He can.

Luke 13:22-30

05/27/2015 12:28

Luke 13: 22- 30

And He (Jesus) went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

Then said one unto Him, Lord are there few that be saved? And He said unto them.

Strive to enter in at the straight gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

When once the Master of the house is risen up, and hath shut the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; He shall answer and say unto you, I know you not who ye are:

Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in Thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

But, He shall say, I tell you, I know you not who ye are; depart from Me, all ye workers of iniquity.

There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the Kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

And souls shall come from the east and from the west - and from the north and from the south and shall sit down in the Kingdom of God.

And behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

Friend, the above worlds are those spoken by Jesus as remembered by Luke with the help of the Holy Spirit.

He speaks of many saying they know of Him but He says they do not know Him.

This is the difference that we need to understand.

Do you "know of" Jesus or do you "know" Jesus?

If you desire to go to Heaven and be with God then you should be able to answer, "I know Jesus" with confidence and in Truth.

Bless you on your journey.

Psalm 136

05/27/2015 11:55

God is Good.

O give thanks to the Lord; for He is Good: for His Mercy endureth forever.

O give thanks unto the God of gods: for His Mercy endureth forever.

O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for His Mercy endureth forever.

To Him who alone doeth great wonders: for His Mercy endureth forever.

God is Creator

To Him that by Wisdom made the heavens: for His Mercy endureth forever.

To Him that stretched out the earth above the waters; for His Mercy endureth forever.

To Him that made great lights: for His Mercy endureth forever.

The sun to rule by day: for His Mercy endureth forever.

The moon and stars to rule by night: for His Mercy endureth forever.

God the Conqueror

To Him that smote Egypt in their first born: for His Mercy endureth forever.

And brought out Israel from among them: for His Mercy endureth forever.

With a strong hand and a stretched out arm: for His mercy endureth forever.

To Him which divided the red Sea into parts: for His Mercy endureth forever.

And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for His Mercy endureth forever:

But overthrew Pharoah and his host in the Red Sea: for his Mercy endureth forever.

To Him which led His people through the wilderness: for His Mercy endureth forever.

To Him which smote great kings: for His Mercy endureth forever.

And slew famous kings: for His Mercy endureth forever.

Si-Hon, king of the Amorites: for His Mercy endureth forever.

And Og the king of Bashan: for His Mercy endureth forever.

God the Compassionate One

And gave their land for an heritage: for His Mercy endureth forever.

Even an heritage unto Israel His servant: for His Mercy endureth forever.

Who remembered us in our low estate: for His Mercy endureth forever.

And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for His Mercy endureth forever.

Who giveth food to all flesh: for His Mercy endureth forever.

O give thanks unto the God of heaven; for His Mercy endureth forever.

The above Psalm is a song King David sings before the Lord as a way of thanking Him.  He remembers the past and gives thanks; He speaks of God's Goodness and knows it is all because of the Mercy character of God, and David recognizes that Israel must be thankful and believe to continue to receive and reap the benefits of being a child of God.

We can learn so much from this Psalm and King David.

We can use the same words and substitute our own names and family names when we give thanks and pray.

He Is With Us

05/27/2015 11:36

Friend, for the born again Christian, the Lord, says He is with us at all times.  He is there to guide and direct our paths.  He is there to comfort and guide us to peaceful resolutions of our troubles.

He is Love and His Love is perfect.  He first loved us and gave us life.

When the path makes us stumble, He will catch us and guide us through the firery trial - just keep in constant communicatiion with Him and allow the Spirit full control.

Hebrews 13:5 I will never fail you nor forsake you.

Friend, we can set out on the Path without fear, for He is there with us and will not fail us.  Yes, along the Way we will encounter trials designed to strenghten our faith and establish our roots in the ground, but He will give us the tools we need to be the overcomer He says we are.

We will leave behind old ways and belief systems and those areas in our soul will be filled with Godly Love and Truth.

Jesus loves a broken and contrite heart.  He loves to give us a second chance.  He loves to see us win in our faith.  All heaven rejoices when we overcome the slightest thing.

God's Will, will be done!  There is no way that Satan/the world will win anything.  Have you not noticed the world is groaning?  It is not in charge.  It will do as God Wills.  Today it is groaning because the evil one has some power over it - given by a Good and Gracious and Just God.

Do you see/understand?  This is an area of meditation/thought for us all.

Happiness

05/27/2015 11:12

Friend, the happiness we are searching for is not the happiness of the world.  It seems to be so, but that is a lie from the pit of hell, designed to get you hooked and never let you go from it's clutches.

Is that drug you are using, that alcohol you are drinking, that perverted sexual energy you are using, that violence you use to abuse others, that religion that fills you with pride, that food you consume, those lies you tell, that music you listen to, that entertainment you lust after, all those things and more, are they bringing you the true happiness you were looking for?  Be honest.

I hope you are tired of it all and now are ready for the Truth.

God will reveal it to you when you are ready, tired of the old life and ready for a new life.

Just ask Him to show you He is real.

When you get this confirmation, believe on His Son as He has said that Jesus is the ONLY Way that we can get to be with the Father. We must believe in the Son. There is no other way.

All other ways that the world presents to us, are the incorrect way and are all devised for our souls to be misled.

Satan knows more about us than we do.  He knows that some souls are gentle spirits so he has devised many religions for them.  He knows some are angry and will love violence so he has ways for them to be hooked, some will love an outer  body experience and many are the drugs he has devised to please them. Some are just followers so there's all kinds of sports and entertainments and competitions for them. On and on.

Believing in Jesus is just a simple faith. We are not required to know great things.  The Spirit will teach us as He sees fit according to our willingness to accept Truths.

God has kept it simple to confuse the wise.  There is One Way - Jesus. All other ways are owned by satan/evil.

The World Tells Us How To Be

05/27/2015 10:52

Friend, the world is constantly telling us how we must think or be.

But, God tells us how to think and be in His Word also.

Which do you think would be the correct way?

The world says we can be who we want to be whenever we want to be that way.

The world encourages us by showing us through the lusts of the eye and ear and mouth, that just about anything is acceptable.

The choices are without limit, as to who we can be or what we can think to be our own truth.

Many are the citizens of this world who choose because of something they have seen on tv for example, and have decided to live "that way."

It can be a belief system, a way of living contrary to how we were born, a choice to change ourselves through surgery or dress, or speech - all these options to change something we don't like.

But, the Holy Bible tells us that the way to change these things is to overcome in a Godly Way.

And, when we listen to the Spirit, we find the perfect way for us and usually, the easy way.  The easy way, because, finally, we have found our true path; the one that was ordained for us before we were born.

The Lord has thought out our life from before our birth.  He has a Way planned for us and the Spirit is always working with our spirit, to accomplish the Lord's Plan.

Just as God the Father had a Plan for the birth of Jesus and the crucifixion and resurrection before Jesus was born, He has a plan for us.

We have free will to choose any way but the Way of the Lord is the right and perfect Way for us and this is the Way that will bring us the most inner peace, joy and satisfaction of soul.

Friend, I encourage you to choose the Path that God has set out for you. It takes bravery and courage if you have wandered down an unrighteous path, but with the help of the Holy Spirit and His army of Holy angels, you will be victorious.  Just apply yourself to the work of God as directed by the Spirit.
