The World Walks In Darkness

05/25/2015 11:14

Friend, the Bible tells us that the world walks in darkness.  To the unbeliever, the world is everything.  They believe in themselves or others like them who have "made it".

Today, God says to them and to the believer, come into the Light, learn of Me and find Hope.

When we reason within our own mind without the guidance of the Spirit, we will never come to the Righteous Conclusion that there is a God. Only by the Holy Spirit will we come to the knowledge of God.

He gives flashes of lightning thought, that shine brightly for a brief instant, until we decide to think about those flashes of Knowledge. This is the Spirit, communicating with you to get your attention.

It is a choice to believe.

Friend, meditate on all the "why" questions and you will find that there is a God.  Let all preconceived ideas fall aside and listen for Truth. You will find the Truth when you seek it.  And you will find it fast when you put self aside and focus only on Truth, and accept your own assumptions as untruths quickly.

Have faith that God will teach you at the level to which you are able to understand; and put aside "self."

Decide to choose to not be seduced by the world and darkness any longer, but to seek the Light and find Love and Peace and Truth and Hope.

Choose the mind of God and the help from the Holy Spirit to enlighten you in all matters from this day forward in Light, and not the darkness of the world.

God says in Psalm 81:13a  O that My people would listen to Me.

Meditation - Psalm 32:7

05/25/2015 10:48

Meditation

Scripture.  Thou art my hiding place; Thou shalt preserve me from trouble; Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.  Psalm 32:7 KJV

King David describes how God sings songs of deliverance over us as we hide in Him during times of trouble.

He uplifts, encourages and fills us with His goodness when we turn to Him - when we are brought low by trials and tribulations.

God infuses us with His Light and when we give Him our troubles. His Light will show us the way through them.  He will walk with us and help us to be overcomers and gain victory for our soul.

If God sings songs over us, shouldn't we therefore sing praises to Him - about His Majesty and all the ways He has made for us throughout our life?

Friend, meditate on how good God has been to you.  Look deep and you will see where His hand has stayed the enemy for your sake. Do you recognize His provision when there seemed to be no way forward?  These are your little miracles, designed just for you by a Loving God.

Give Him praise!

Prayer
Lord, thank You for all the ways You have made for me, through the mazes of my tribulations, and the victories You have orchestrated on my behalf because You love me. I will walk forward in life knowing you are singing songs of deliverance over me, and I will praise you for Your Goodness. Amen

2 Corinthians 5:1-11

05/23/2015 11:19

Friend, the following is an excerpt from 2nd Corinthians where the Apostle Paul speaks about the spirit within each of us and what happens to the believer after death. This knowledge will help you in your walk with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that when this tent we live in now is taken down; when we die and leave these bodies; we will have wonderful new bodies in Heaven, homes that will be ours forevermore, made for us by God Himself, and not by human hands.

2 How weary we grow of our present bodies. That is why we look forward eagerly to the day when we shall have heavenly bodies which we shall put on like new clothes.

3 For we shall not be merely spirits without bodies.

4 These earthly bodies make us groan and sigh, but we wouldn't like to think of dying and having no bodies at all.  We want to slip into our new bodies so that these dying bodies will, as it were, be swallowed up by everlasting life.

5 This is what God has prepared for us and, as a guarantee He has given us the Holy Spirit.

6 Now we look forward with confidence to our heavenly bodies, realizing that every moment we spend in these earthly bodies is time spent away from our eternal home in heaven with Jesus.

7  We know these things are true by believing, not seeing.

8 And we are not afraid, but are quite content to die, for then we will be at home with the Lord.

9 So our aim is to please Him always in everything we do, whether we are here in body or away from this body and with Him in heaven.

10  For we must all stand before Christ to be judged and have our lives laid bare; before Him.  Each of us will receive whatever he deserves for the good or bad things he has done in his earthly body.

11 It is because of this solemn fear of the Lord, which is ever present in our minds, that we work so hard to win others. God knows our hearts, that they are pure in this matter, and I hope that, deep within, you really know it too.

It's All About Jesus

05/23/2015 10:35

Friend, our whole existence is all about Jesus.

He is the key ingredient in all of life.  He is God.

His Word, the Bible, tells us so.

When you accept this as Truth, you are well onto the Path of new life in Christ.  The one that is intended for you. The one that He died for you to have.  The one that will give you eternal life with Christ, in His Kingdom.

In the Bible, we find that He invites us to know Him and to find the Way, to Him and eternal life.

This is what He is interested in - us having eternal life with Him.

He was crucified and resurrected for us to have it.

There was no other reason for the resurrection.  He could have at any time risen to be with the Father; both before being crucified and at any time during His 33 years on this earth; just as He did 40 days after His resurrection, when many saw Him ascend to Heaven.  He saw how wicked we were, but thanks be to God, there were a few who were waiting for Him to appear and they are the ones who listened and obeyed Him and spread the Good News of Jesus to the world.

God the Father had a Plan to deal with evil (Satan and his followers) and it included Jesus being born of a virgin and living and walking among us for 33 years. Then the crucifixion and resurrection and walking among us again for 40 more days, then the ascencion.

All the accounts of His life that we need to know, are in the Bible.  From them we learn so much about our God. We see how Just He is, how Loving, how all Powerful and all Knowing He is and how Forgiving!

When you get to know more about Jesus, His Heart and Holy Spirt and Father, you will see in a complete new Light.

The Bible

05/23/2015 10:15

Friend, if you are to grow as a child of God you must know His Word.

His Word is contained in the Holy Bible.

If you do not have one and you live in a country where it is legal to own one, you must obtain one and begin to read and learn what God has written there for you. (Thrift stores, have them sometimes for free)

If you do not live in a country where you can legally obtain a Bible, this site will continue to post scripture verses for all, and write about what God has to say in the Bible. For you, it is imperative that you cherish the words and keep them hidden in your heart and mind.

For me, the Bible is the following:-

My Friend

My Guidebook for life

My Troubleshooter in times of trial and trouble

My weapon against enemies

Food for my spirit

Water for my soul

My place where I find stability and security

God's Love letter to me - His explanation of all I need to know in this life

The corrector of my faults - where I find Truths

Teacher of how to pray, praise, worship, speak and think

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm sure if you read His Word, you will find these things and more.

Come out of the darkness and into the Light and find Hope for your soul, and true Joy which is an inner happiness that cannot be taken away by any bad result that the world throws at you.

Let the Lord guide you through His Word.  Listen for Him to show you what He has for you in the pages of the Bible, my friend!

Meditation Hebrews 10:23

05/22/2015 08:47

Meditation

Scripture.  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; ( for He is faithful that promised).  Hebrews 10:23 KJV

Great advice to the believer!

We are advised to hold the precious gift of faith in Jesus, close to us and to hold it firmly within our grasp.

When we are new believers we think that we will never lose this gift.

But we must not forget that God has told us that His adversary, who becomes our adversary once we accept Jesus into our life, is hell bent on our destruction.

Our adversary does not want God to have our soul, because before we accepted Jesus as our Saviour, we belonged to satan.

So we must be aware and stand strong in faith in our Lord to keep our faith bold and at the same time, strongly guarded.

God says we must not waver in our belief in Him.  He is faithful to us and will help us when we do not waver.

But if we decide to walk away from him and give up on our faith, He will not stop us.  He will warn us but He will not stop us. The Spirit will always be trying to encourage us to return to the Lord, but ultimately, it is our own choice.

We must develop a backbone for God and not become wishy washy in our faith.

How can we do this when we are buffeted on all sides by the evil one?

The devil makes a strong case for sin, showing us the easy way to do things.  Many of us gravitate towards the easy road in life.

God says that the only way to hold fast to our profession of faith is to communicate with Him at all times, to have an open dialogue with Him and to study His Word for comfort, counseling, healing and spiritual strength and growth.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for your warnings about our adversary.  Help me to have a strong faith.  Keep me grounded in Your Word.  Remind me I pray to humble myself before You daily and in so doing become strong for each day's battle through the indwelling of Jesus in my soul.
Amen.

How to Cure Anxiety and Other Disorders

05/21/2015 22:03

Friend, Jesus is the answer to all the illnesses and dis-ease of the soul and spirit which cause many of the problems in the body - not all, but many.

Anxiety, depression, fears of all kinds, emptiness, unloved, unloving, jaded, mental instabilities, anger, bitterness, envy, lusts of all kinds, laziness, ignorance, uncleanliness, fogginess of the mind, inability to interact with others, lying lips and thoughts, deception, and all other ungodly thoughts and activities, belong to the evil one who keeps us trapped in these dis-eases of the soul and spirit.

If you are honest with yourself and have a desire to shed any of the above dis-eases, turn to the One who loves you and can cure you.  Walk with Him daily.  Read His Word and find the answer to your need.

Begin to agree with Him and the Holy Spirit who are delighted to have you available to them to cure.  They will do a good work in you and you will overcome all the illnesses you have in your soul and spirit with their help and guidance.

It can be accomplished.  Recognize that if you are taking medication for any disease and you are helped by it that the Spirit has already guided you to this and that medication is a part of what your body needs to recover.

God works through the hands and minds of physicians - especially when they are believers and when we have prayed to God for guidance to the physician of His choice.

Always pray about your appointments and the medications also, to be correct and that God has a part in your recovery plan with the medical people on your team.

When you realize that God truly loves you, the feeling of being unloved by humans does not mean anything.  You realize they are the same as you, sinners who could be saved by Grace and Mercy also - the Love of Jesus is far above what a human can give you.

Ask God to help you to love as He does so that your ability to love or be unloving changes to one of pure Love which you can offer through Christ in you, toward others.

We learn also that anger and bitterness will fall away, because other people are just living up to the expectation of the title, sinner.

You, should be FORGIVEN. Christ died so you could have forgiveness.  Accept it now if you have not and begin to walk the healing path of mind, body and spirit.
