1 Peter 2:1-3

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby. 1Peter 2:1-3

Friend, scholars of the Bible have said that these words were written in 63AD near the end of the Disciple Peter's life.

He writes to all the peoples who are under his ministry and have become born again, and are following the teachings of Jesus, in 63AD.

He knows of the strifes and hard times they all are having and have had, and wishes to write something to them they can refer back to, when diverse issues plague their churches, gatherings and their personal tribulations.

If you are born again, the reading of this Book of the Bible 1 Peter will speak to you very personally. The Holy Spirit in conjunction with your new spirit, will reveal the mind of God to you concerning your sufferings and temptations.

A born again person should hear the Spirit speaking to them in this Book. Read it with a believer's heart as if Peter is writing to you.

At the end of verse 2 in the first chapter, Peter says to you, "Grace unto you and Peace, be multiplied."

Ahhh! How wonderful!

He says, "Receive the Peace of the Lord and the Grace for which He died that you might have." ( In today's words.)

Allow your soul and spirit to be a recipient of the Peace and Grace of the Lord and read through 1 Peter to hear what the Lord is saying to you.

He is speaking to the believers of old but His Words are for us today as well.
