Change

We all want others to change so that things can be better for us.

But the Truth is that we cannot change others.  Sometimes we can manage to change them for a short time but eventually they revert back to the old way and we are disappointed once again.

The Bible tells us that it is the Spirit of God ( Holy Spirit ) who is the One who brings about change in a person's life.

And the Spirit is not made manifest in our life until we accept the Gift of God, which is Salvation from our Lord, Jesus.

There is a spiritual change in our thinking that comes when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour Redeemer.

We begin to see our own need for change.  If we are genuinely thankful for Salvation, we begin to have a thankful heart and are grateful for our new state of being.

Forgiven! We're Forgiven; not just forgiven by mankind, but Holy Forgiveness has been given. Complete and all encompassing of every sin both known to us and unknown; past, present and future.

We see in the spiritual realm, more and more, the need for more kindness and gentleness towards others, is revealed.

We see the path we were on and know that it was not pleasing to God and we see the path our friends and family are on and know the same applies to them.

But it is not we who can change them.  We can tell them how much God loves them by sharing our testimony, but it will be our actions and the changes they see in us, that shows them our new faith in God Almighty, is real.

So in the end we can only change ourselves, and we have to walk in Christ with hope that our loved ones will also receive His Gift.

Romans 6:16    Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin - resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness ( before God)?
