Conviction

Friend when reading God's Word we may have a quickening of our spirit, that makes us feel uneasy about a passage or a parable or proverb, psalm and so forth.

This is generally what a believer calls, "being convicted."

It is the Holy Spirit shining a Light on the Words, so that your mind and heart can clearly see what God is saying.

It cuts deep into the heart, yet it doesn't hurt.

Instead it is like a Light being switched on, and the mind is able to help the heart to see Truth.

We're all fallen beings. We have all sinned. God says so, and He is not a liar ever!

So as believers we do not see others as being sinless.

We agree with God, "All have fallen short of the Goodness of God."

Most unbelievers think that they are without sin. They live a good and productive for society, life. They do not hurt others. They do not steal. They help others. Some even give God a modicum of respect and awe.

But God looks on the heart and mind, not the outward appearance. He sees all that swirls around inside our heads, the anger, the rage, the hatred, the lies we tell ourselves, how we avoid The Holy Spirit.

Believers see believers as saved by the Grace of God and the Blood of The Son, but still capable of sinning, still falling backwards.

Every born again believer, is walking with God and being convicted continually of their sin, by the Spirit Who asks them to obey God's Word. With prayer, with a willing heart and mind, we overcme deep rooted sins and even are able to help others in their walk with God, because of our own experiences.

We know not to bcome defeated, that God is for us, and is making a Way for us, because He has proven to us He will.

And everyone else has the same right that we had, to accept The Father's Gracious Gift and believe that His Son paid the price for our sins.

His Word will convict us of our sin, of our unbelief, of our reckless living.

We may find that we have sin upon sin, layers and layers of sinful thinking and deeds to throw on the funeral pyre of our life, as we read The Holy Bible, but do not let this be a deterrent.

God will help you.

It is His committment to you, to help you know Him and walk in His Will.

Everyone's journey to belief and Redemption is different. It is personal between you and the Lord God, Jesus The Christ of God The Father.

Submit your human will to God's Will because He cares for you and He has all the Power for Eternity.

There is none like Him.
