Rely on God's Promises

04/20/2018 22:02

Friend, we should always rely on God's Promises.

He is not a liar, and will not withhold any of his Promises from a Forgiven believer - born again of the spirit, in the mind, heart and body.

This is Godly Law; that His Promises are for us, and are available at all times, to us.

When our heart and mind are focused on Him and His Will for us, following Him as best we can with a heart full of love and desire to walk in His Will, He cannot refuse our requests according to His Will. We therefore must know His Will and Law and ask according to that.

Asking for things He has said are not within His Law will cause us to be disappointed, begin to fall away from Him thinking He does not love us; when in fact it is we who have shown we do not love Him enough to learn of His Attribules, Characteristercs, Law, Will and Way.

Being God of the Utmost High Calibre making no mistakes, He cannot allow Himself, to say, "Oh, for this special one I will break my Own Law to give them something I do not agree with."

He will not upset the balance of, Everything He Is, to cause a cancer/sin to invade All That He Is.

He clearly gave His Law and displays His Will throughout the Bible, showing all peoples, so we have no excuse to disobey it.

If you have upon reflection found that you have been disobedient to His request to be a child who obeys, and ask for God's Forgiveness, repent and walk in His Will as best you can, He will Forgive.

When you are at the Judgement after you die, it is too late to ask for His Forgiveness then.

It is written, and His Law is displayed for all to see.

If we choose to walk around in unbelief, that's on us, not God.

We will realize at the Judgement, that we did not want to know anything about God, and in fact many of us were extremely rebellious and obnoxious about anything concerned with Godly things.

Here are some Bible verses that speak of the Goodness of God, the Holinesss of God and His Promises.

If He speaks it through Himself, the Word of God, (Jesus), or the Holy Spirit, it will stand forever and never be changed.

He is God and is unchanging.

He does not break His Word. He does not lie.

He is Perfect in all his Ways and when speaking to man, He does not make a mistake.

He sees past, present and future and knows all things.

His Word is based on His Holy Law which He will never break.

His Mind is finely attuned to even every bit of information and computes complete perfection when communing with us.

Think about these Promises of God and let them settle into your heart and mind. You will come to know Who God Is. He tells us in these Words given by His Spirit to men of the earth from old times so that we could know His Heart and Mind.

From His Throne Room He speaks His Royal Words to us yesterday, today and forever...

Deuteronomy
  • “If . . . you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you look for Him with all your heart and with all your soul” (4:29).
Joshua
  • “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (1:8).
  • “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (1:9)

  • Judges

    • False gods cannot deliver or save us when we are in trouble; it is only the Lord who can rescue us from the hands of our enemies on every side (8:34; 10:14).
      • God’s Name and Ways are beyond understanding (13:18). (But we can have the confidence that His ways are perfect, because He is Almighty.)
Ruth
  • Personal commitment to following the Lord always leads to Redemption and Life (1:16-17).
  • “May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge” (2:12).
  • “Praise be to the Lord, Who this day has not left you without a Kinsman-Redeemer” (4:14)   (Jesus)

2 Samuel

“As for God, His Way is Perfect; the Word of the Lord is flawless. He is a Shield for all who take refuge in Him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect (22:31-33).

First Chronicles

The Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever” (28:9).

These are just a few of the Good Words for the heart and mind that God has spoken over us, His people who have gone astray from Him. He is the Good Shepherd who died for us to return to Him without chains; free and unencumbered by guilt and sin.
