Signs of the Times

Friend, God's Word, The Holy Bible speaks of the state of the world, during the time when our world as we know it will be in it's last throws.  

It speaks of times when the world will be overrun with identifiable signs, so the people who have accepted Jesus as Saviour, will know to be vigilant, for the return of Him whose return is imminent; and the time of all suffering for the saved, ends.

The Bible also tells us that no-one knows the day or hour, when our Saviour returns; when our right to choose Eternal Life will cease. 

That day and hour will come upon us like a thief, God's Word tells us.

We will be unaware unless we observe the times through reading and studying His Word, and unless we are fully saved by Him; having an intimate relationship with Him; praying and praising; being in the world, but not of the world.

The Bible calls Him the Bridegroom Who is coming for His bride; the believers - those who have accepted His Sacrifice for their sins.

This is why pastors, ministers and Bible teachers (and hopefully all Christians because we are called to evangelize,) work tirelessly to spread the Good News of Redemption, to all people from all walks of life so they have a chance to choose and come to know Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

His Word says the Harvest of souls is ripe and great in numbers; yet the workers in the Father's Vineyard are few!

Matthew 24:14 - And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the Power thereof: from such turn away.

2 Peter 3:3-4

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.

2Corinthans 11:13-15

13 For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore [it is] no great thing if his (Satan) ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

1 Timothy 4:1 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (humans who have previously called themselves believers.)

Mark 13:5-23

5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any [man] deceive you:

6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am [Christ]; and shall deceive many.

7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for [such things] must needs be; but the end [shall] not [be] yet.

8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these [are] the beginnings of sorrows.

9 But take heed to yourselves (believers): for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

11 But when they shall lead [you], and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against [their] parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

13 And ye shall be hated of all men for My Name's sake; but he that shall endure unto the end, shall be saved.

14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter [therein], to take any thing out of his house:

16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

19 For [in] those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

20 And except that The Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved; but for the elect's sake whom He hath chosen, He hath shortened the days.

21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here [is] Christ; or, lo, [He is] there; believe [him] not:

22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, even the elect. (Satan's ministers shall show signs and wonders saying they are from Christ to seduce those easily seduced.)

23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

Luke 21:36 - Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
