So Much To Know

12/21/2017 13:44

Friend, there's so much to be said about God and His Word and Law.

One sermon here and there will never fill you with Truth.

(Those Christmasses and Easters we go to church.)

But, a personal relationship with the Son of God, can.

And, why is that necessary?

Because God has designed things that way for His Holy Purpose.

A personal relationship with Jesus when we agree He is our Saviour, brings us to deeper levels of understanding of God's Word.

He does this by His Holy Spirit who He left in this world, after He was resurrected, to be with believers; to encourage, teach, to help understand the Son.

The Holy Spirit is another of God's Gifts; working night and day to reveal Jesus, to be a Help.

It's very mysterious and unbelieveable to unbelievers, but when the soul submits to God as Saviour, it becomes aware of a newness of spirit, a deeper understanding of God that it normally didn't have.

These Gifts will grow the more the soul seeks after God.

There is much to be known, and it is wise for the new believer to chase after God - through the written Word; The Holy Bible, attending a Bible believing church, entering into scriptural studies of the Word, associating with other believers, helping as directed by the Spirit.

In the Bible we can get a renewing of the mind, into the Holiness of God.

Because in reading His Word with a seeking (to know Him) heart, He meets us there and communes with us to enlighten our mind.

We find new understanding in His Word to help us in our daily walk, our work, our relationships, decisions we must make and choices we have.

He is able to Guide us onto the Righteous Path that brings total Freedom in Him.

Knowing Him will give us a confidence we have sought and not found in the world.

Joy enters the heart and understanding enters the mind.

What the world gives is very fleeting and in many cases turns out to be false or fake and in other cases leads us into temptation and regret, and makes us fearful, superstitious and rebellious, because that is satan's realm.

He knows the Love, God has for us, and he desires to take it from us.

He saw what God, our Saviour did for us at Calvary and he (satan) is familiar with God, having been a "covering cherub" of high rank in Heaven.

Satan is angry, revengeful, full of hate, desiring to destroy and kill us.

He seeks to dissuade us from knowing God, because He knows we will prefer God over him. Satan offers gifts of the world but they are never really ours, always the strings are attached. It takes, pain of the mind, body and soul to unattach ourselves from satan, but God is there to help and if we stay focused on what the Son did for us on the Cross, we will see that our little cross is nothing.

But, knowing God's Word, is fulfilling and lasts forever.

The Peace that comes with new understanding of the Good God who loves us, Who gave His life for us, is one of pure beauty for the soul.

When we are able to walk with a heart and mind filled with Godly Knowledge our time on earth has new meaning.

God says he does not change - in this we can trust Him.

God is looking for souls He can trust.

When you enter a church this Christmas to hear the carols and see the plays, ask God to meet you and reveal new understandings to your heart.
