Some Benefits For The Believer
Friend, being a Christian fills us with an inner Peace that comes from God. It is a settling calmness of the heart and mind that is almost impossible to attain as an unbeliever. We have Peace in our soul and spirit because we know He is in charge and He Loves us more than any human is capaable of loving. (Almost impossible because many humans in their own strength are able to be calm - such as the yogis.)
We have a Hope that goes beyond this world into Eternity. We know we will spend Eternity with God in His Kingdom, carrying out whatever God desires; because we know it will be Good and bring us pleasure; and we will be fulfilled. That same Hope fills us in this world, too. Whenever trials come, we have Hope. We know God is on our side and will make a Way for us.
We know God is always listening to us. This is why we should never blaspheme Him. It is an affront and does not draw us close to Him, but tears us away from Him. Every utterance is heard. His ear is attuned to us.
We can speak to Him at any moment of every day and He is listening!
He is the Ever Present Father of Light and Joy, and He Loves, and Delights in us.
There was a Purpose for our earthly fathers, but God is Above all other fathers, just as He is Above All other gods.
God is watching us, He is not distant and unaware of us.
Psalm 33:18 Behold the Eye of The Lord is upon them that love and fear Him, upon them that hope in His Mercy.
God loves to mend broken hearts. He asks the broken-hearted to come to Him and believe. He is our Healer!
God is full of Wisdom and wants to impart Holy Wisdom to us, during our resting, communicating, praise and worship, and prayer times.
God is Faithful. It is we who leave God. He never leaves us. He continues to try to win us back to the very end of our lives.
We are the unfaithful ones!
And He is Forgiving. He Forgives with a Purity that a human cannot.
He Forgives a repentant heart.
An unrepentant heart He cannot Forgive.
His Forgiveness is Holy, Pure and Righteous and it cannot be used to Forgive those who are not willing to repent. ( Turn away from their sinful thoughts and living.)
He only Forgives those who He sees are repentant, humble, and desiring to know Him, and will follow Him. He died and paid the price for our sins so we should not expect Him to Forgive any one of us unless we are prepared to turn from those sins.
He knows this is hard to do so He requires the repentant heart that He can work with to overcome; knowing He will have to Forgive again and again until the sinner is strong spiritually and can walk righteously and be used as a blessing to others in the service of the Holy Kingdom of God.
So, God forgives, the past the present and the future sins of a repentant sinner.
This is a Godly Promise.
