Meditation Verse Hebrews 10:22

04/07/2016 22:03
Meditation Verse

Scripture.  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.  Hebrews 10:22  KJV

Believers have the full assurance of God that their faith is what keeps them in Christ.

We should be ever mindful of the Spirit's convicting and guiding so that our faith can continue to grow from a newfound faith at our Salvation to ever increasing measures of faith as we learn how faithful God is.

The strength of our faith is what stays us in the storms.  It is our anchor when times get tough. We know that we know, that God is real and He is for us.

This verse says for us to draw near.  God wants us to draw near to Him.  He does not want us far away.  All His children are wanted and He desires to have a relationship with each one.  He loves equally and has no favourites, nor does He discriminate in any way shape or form.

It further says our hearts have been sprinkled from an evil conscience.  Sprinkled with what?  The Blood of Jesus.  Let us place all respect and honour on the Blood shed for us and not return to former sinful living.

Lastly it says our bodies are washed with pure water.  This is the baptism of the believer in the world.  The Spirit will direct you to your time to be baptized in the presence of the Kingdom of God who witness everything in this world.

Prayer
Lord, thank You for the measure of faith You have given to me.  Help me to grow in faith and to be a blessing to others who seek You.  Amen.

The Battle

04/07/2016 21:33

Friend, Jesus is walking before you into your daily battles.

Evil is your foe. Demonic forces use people and worldly things to keep your head turned towards them and not God.

We must learn to differentiate between what God says is allowed and what evil tells us is allowed!

The Bible is the place to learn what God has to say about following Him.

Have you decided that you want Pure Love or pure evil?

We make a choice whether we think so or not. If we do not choose God and His Son, Jesus like He lays out for us in the Bible, then He says we have chosen to follow after evil and it's master, satan; God's adversary.

But, friend, God, being God, is going to win the war.

Satan has already been sentenced and He is undergoing part of his sentence right here on earth and in the air around us.

God's Word, the Bible tells us this.

For whatever reason that is Perfect to God, we are born into this evil infected world.

It is for His Purposes that we are given this blessing of a life here.

When we align ourselves, body mind and spirit with God and turn away from the evil one's advances, we can have a different life. The struggles will still be there, but God is also there and He will show us the way to overcome evil.

He perfects us for His Purposes in this world and in the afterlife with Him.

He has big plans for us!

His heart and our hearts must be joined in perfect unison of Love!

Yesterday I got some not so good health news but when I got back to my car, I sat and praised Him because it is a new journey that He wants me to take and I am willing.

Evil would like to destroy the life I have, but God will make something better of it because of my willingness to obey and praise him in the valley, not just the mountaintop experiences.

God is Sovereign and I do not need to be worried about myself.

Nor do you when you have given your self to Him.

In The Silence

04/06/2016 22:09

Friend, it is imperative that we learn to be still and be silent before the Lord.

This is where He speaks and we can truly hear the "secrets" that are just for us. The ones that show us the Way, that enlighten our deepest doubts, that fill us with newfound knowledge which engender Holy joy.

There is so much Jesus can accomplish with us when we are silent and still before Him.

Find that place and make the time to allow this to become a regular part of your communication with Him. It is a form of worship; laying humbly before Him , focused on Him and receiving from Him.

Yield to the Beauty and Truth that is Jesus. Listen for His answers to your life's problems; your questions about the Kingdom, His Godhood, life eternal, even what you do not understand about evil.

You will get your answers when He sees that you are ready to receive.

Listen attentively. Never question His Truth. But find a Way to understand by asking all your little insignificant questions.

He will answer.

Discipline Your Mind

04/05/2016 19:50

Friend, it's important to discipline the mind so that the thoughts are brought under subjection to the Will of God.

Certain ways of thinking that would not please God must be eliminated and for it to "stick' it's best we discipline ourselves. The Holy Spirit and Jesus are there to help us and we will be able to do it with them, but they will not take the thoughts away because it is best for us to overcome with their help.

This goes for all things; food, cigarette, alcohol, drug addictions and bad actions like anger, revenge, pride and boasting, selfishness, other belief systems and so on.

Walking just a minute at a time following Jesus and having the attitude of the Saviour, remembering how He went to the Cross sinless, but thinking of us, how He loves us and wants us to be children of the Kingdom of God.

Prayer or "communication" with our Lord will help as will practising turning deep within to God and meditation on who He is.

The goal should be that we form new habits; Godly ones, those pleasing to Him.

As we clean up our lives we need to fill those empty spaces with Love, praise, worship and the Word (Bible study).

Having "new words,"  Scripture Verses to use instead of our old filthy, demeaning, angry words is the Way to successful renewing of our mind, body and spirit.

It is not hard to do when you have the Son of God helping you! ( The Word of God = The Son of God.)

Don't Struggle Against God

04/05/2016 13:33

Friend, be truthful!

Are you struggling against God?

This is fear of change.

Why fear the one who knows everything about you, anyway?

Think about that for a moment.

There is nothing He has not seen or heard, even your thoughts are laid bare before Him.

Yet, He still allowed His Son to die so you could be called an adopted child of His.

His Son, a Pure and Holy Son, was sent to the slaughter for your sins, not His. God does not sin. No, Jesus paid the price for your sins.

What is there to fear?

Oh, your life might change!

Maybe you will change and He will keep you in the same circumstances so He can reach others through you.

Who knows, maybe everything will change.

But, wouldn't He be Trustworthy to have all your good as His intent?

Yes, He would!

It's simple, give up the struggle against Him, this very moment.

Be the clay and allow Him to mold you into His Son's likeness.

Withdrawing

04/05/2016 11:05

Friend, are you desiring a full spiritual life?

Withdrawing from the physical life whenever you have the chance is the answer.

We have to provide for ourselves and loved ones by going to work everyday, yes. But whenever we can, we need to be fully facing God with a heart full of reverence, a soul that's filled with humility and a spirit willing to be taught great knowledge.

When we have this attitude towards growing spiritually, God is drawn to that soul and cannot help Himself from filling us with all we need to grow in Kingdom Grace.

You will find answers to your problems and issues in this life. It will seemingly be by osmosis. The air around us changes, we seem to be on a different spiritual plane than unbelievers, yet we see that they too, can easily ascend to that plane.

Faith and belief is everything to God. That's what He requires for us to move fluidly through life with Him at the helm.

It doesn't matter where you are in your journey, age-wise, health-wise, belief-wise.

He will meet you where you are. Young or old, infirm or healthy, unbelieving or believing.

He has all you need and want and He is Willing to give to you according to His Will for your life.

He knows all the paths you have taken. He has heard all you have had to say about Him. He knows the Way forward.

Make the time to withdraw from the physical and allow your spirit to behold the Holy Spirit who waits for your acquiesence.

May God bless you as you make time for Him.

Psalm 69:5 Meditation Verse

04/04/2016 10:08
Meditation Verse

Scripture.  O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.  Psalm  69:5

King David  cries to God of his foolishness.  He admits to God that He is a sinner.

This is the attitude that David comes to the Lord with.  He acknowledges his own frailty, even though he is a king himself and rules the people of God.

David has access to God, he is sure of it. He speaks (prays), knowing he is heard, loved and cared for.

He has been appointed by God to rule on earth.  God chose human vessels with all their inherent weaknesses, when the people asked for an earthly king to rule over them. It was not time for the return of Jesus.

God gave His ruling on evil and it's time was not up when the Israelites asked for a king.

David knows that God is aware of all the foolish and sinful things he has done.  But he is not afraid of God.  He speaks to God respectfully but also as a friend, an intimate.

A humble heart, one who knows that God is greater, can bow down and say, "Oh God, You know how foolish and sinful I am, forgive me."

Prayer
Lord, thank You for showing me this scripture.  Guide me into a relationship with You that is like the one You had with king David.  I want to be an intimate of Yours. Amen.
