Alone With Jesus

03/19/2016 06:30

Friend, consider spending more time alone with Jesus.

When your heart is hurting and your mind is confused, these are indications that your need is spiritual.

Go to the Fountain and spend time alone with Jesus.

Pour out your thoughts to Him. Be emotional. Bow the head and tell Him you love Him and need His help in the matter.

Allow Him to be in your thought process so that when He interrupts or, corrects or reprooves you are able to say, "Yes, Lord. I see that is not acceptable."

These alone times can be great times of growing in personal Godly Knowledge. He is the Father you always needed. Let Him guide you to the correct way of thinking regarding your problems. When you can stand in agreement with Him, you will have a Path of moving forward through the storms of life.

Have a heart of love and humbleness before the Throne of Grace and Mercy. Be willing to learn new Ways to conduct yourself, and then activate what you have learned from Him, into your daily life.

When we set out on road trips without Him, we make ghastly mistakes that sometimes take years to correct.

During these times spent away from God, we deny Him our presence and attention to His need for our love and companionship for which He created us.

Neglecting this time alone with Jesus is selfish. We secretly know that we want it our way.

It is a sin and the one which when we think we have had a relationship with Him, will see us condemned when He says, to us " I knew you not."

And it will be the Truth.

Self-Love

03/16/2016 11:01

Friend, self love becomes sinful when God is not put ahead of self.

Self love can easily become full of pride and independence which pushes God out of the way and relegates Him to second place.

This type of thinking will never get us far spiritually. The breakthroughs come slower if at all and the Heavenly Joy is overshadowed by the joy of the world.

Self-love is bouyed by the joy it can have that is worldly. Riches, luxury, objects, a life of worldly fullness can easily shut God out.

We must be careful.

God gives abundantly but it is wise to allow Him to give to us when we are spiritually ready and not to go before Him and grasp and take the things He is not ready to give us, because it will stunt our spiritual growth.

We love to be wise in our own eyes. We are masters at rationalizing and justifying everything to come around to our way of thinking.

We so love it when we are "right."

Self-love brings distance and separation between us and God.

Putting Him first and allowing Him to work the Good Work in us, will guide us into the kind of self-love that is acceptable to Him.

Friend, is self-love the barrier that keeps you from progressing on your Journey?

Decide today to break that barrier down and put God first.

Seek Him and see that He is Good.

When you find that key to behold the Beauty of the Lord, you will realize how foolish self-love really was.

Your Past

03/15/2016 21:25

Friend, yesterday is gone and cannot be redone.

The past is the past.

If we have lived ungodly we will experience the past coming into our future, bringing pain, anger, worry, anxiety and all negative emotions.

If we have repented to God for our foolishness, we will have the knowledge that the One Who died for our foolishness has Forgiven us; wholly.

He asks us to "sin no more."

We need to be attentive and fully present with God throughout the day so that we have His help while overcoming old habits and ways.

He does not condemn us when we are actively working with Him to be renewed, soul and spirit. Allow only Him to be the One who helps you decode your past. Let Him remind you that He forgave you for "that", or remind you to forgive others for what they have done to you. But never listen to the enemy who condemns and says you will never be forgiven for "that one".

No, Jesus died for all your sins to be forgiven!

The devil and his demons will remind us constantly of our past and tell us that we can't overcome. That is a lie told by the Great Deceiver.

Don't buy into the lie. Give it no place at all.

God says you can do all things good through Him, because He will lead and guide you according to His Plan for you.  Each of us is an individual to God. Each of us has gone down some side road of our own making and He has a Plan to mold us into the person He designed us to be as He leads us back to the Straight Road to Glory.

This is where we find Joy.

It is not a false joy as the world offers that fades and must be reignited often with worldly things.

This Joy is Heavenly and fills us and stays with us.

We are not of this world, but we are in it, when we come to Jesus and follow Him, and we must exist happily in it.

Godly Joy will see to it that we do not despair of our past and allows us to do what we must to earn a living and take care of our families whilst knowing that our home is in Heaven and we are just journeying through this world.

Knowing Jesus is loving you and has forgiven you enables us to go forward one day at a time.

Draw Close

03/15/2016 08:45

Friend each day, we are admonished in the Scriptures to; draw close to God.

Live daily with the intent in your heart to be close to God. Know that He is close by, ready to advise, instruct and keep you from harm, if only your thoughts are on Him and His Will, first.

Psalm 73:22-28

So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before Thee.

Nevertheless I am continually with Thee: Thou has held me by my right hand.

Thou shalt guide me with Thy Counsel, and afterward receive me to Glory.

Whom have I in Heaven but Thee? And there is none upon earth that I desire beside Thee.

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the Strength of my heart, and my Portion forever.

For, lo, they that are far from Thee shall perish: Thou has destroyed all them that go a whoring from Thee.

But, it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all Thy Works.

Hebrews 7:19

For the Law made nothing Perfect, but the bringing in of a Better Hope did; by Whom we draw nigh to God.

Verse 25

Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Friend, those Scripture verses above are given so we may understand that Jesus is our Hope and He is with us who believe, forever intercedeing before the Throne, on our behalf when we are walking closely with Him.

It behooves our soul that we turn daily to Jesus and walk in His Footsteps.

Let Him lead the Way.

All our fighting and pushing, gets us nowhere.

We think it does, but the real reality is that when we use these tactics in life not having the blessing of the Lord to do so, we are pandering to the evil one who is leading us dangerously close to Hell.

Known And Loved

03/13/2016 11:45

Friend, you are known and loved by Almighty God!

Take a moment to look back at your life. Do you not see where God has shown His Love towards you?

Perhaps you flicked it off your "self", not appreciating it and chose a different path hoping for a "better" destination, but, His Love is shown to you all through your life.

That is a fact that will be proven to you at the Judgement.

Many there are of us who take the Blessings of God and then go on our way doing whatever we please, not wanting to recognize, thank or fulfill His Will concerning the Blessing.

But as a believer, our soul and spirit becomes attuned to the Grace and Mercy of God and we do recognize the Blessings that are bestowed on our underserving selves.

We hear His Voice when He calls us from the fires that lead us to destruction. And we don't turn away.

We choose to find out about His Will for us, and we do our best to obey knowing He will do everything for us that is necessary to have a happy and fulfilled life even while evil buffets us on every side.

And we thank Him.

Woe to the evil ones who continually put pressure on us to sin, though.

We are instructed to pray for them to know Jesus and to receive Salvation.

We must do this for our enemies, our captors, those who come against God's Will for us; who make ways for us to sin.

Instruction for ourselves is to gird ourselves from evil by choosing to know God at deeper and deeper levels, putting our trust in Him, not man, making Jesus the Cornerstone and the Foundation of our faith and walking and listening to the Holy Spirit, as little sheep in the Great Shepherd's care.

Remember friends, that you are known and loved by Jesus and let your heart respond to Him.

He says His sheep know His Voice.

Always be listening and attuned to Father, Son and Holy Spirit throughout the day.

Soon your life will begin to change according to God's Will as your heart and mind respond to Jesus. That's Jesus resituating your soul on the Path of Life Everlasting. You will feel strangely at peace with the new Path.

1 Peter Chapter 2

03/12/2016 11:48

( Peter writes to the born again believers in Christ. His words are Holy Spirit inspired and live for us in this day. Read this as the Spirit speaking to you. I pray it enlightens your soul and empowers your belief and uplifts your spirit.)

1st Peter Chapter 2

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrises, and envies, and all evil speakings,

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby:

If so be, ye have tasted that the Lord is Gracious.

To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and Precious,

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an Holy  priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Wherefore also it is contained in the Scripture, Behold I lay a Stone in Zion, a Chief Cornerstone, Elect, Precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded.

Unto you therefore which believeth He is Precious: but unto them which be disobedient, The Stone which the Builder's disallowed, the same is made the Head of the Corner,

and a Stone of Stumbling, and a Rock of Offence, even to them which stumble at the Word, being disobedient: wherein they also were appointed.

But ye are a chosen generation, a Royal priesthood, an Holy nation, a Peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His Marvellous Light:

Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained Mercy, but now have obtained Mercy.

Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to king as supreme;

Or unto govenors, as unto them that are sent by Him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

For so is the Will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

As free, and not using your Liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

Honour all men. Love the brotherhood of believers. Fear God, Honour the king. (respect)

Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward master.

For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? But, if when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable to God.

For even hereunto were you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps:

Who did not sin, neither was guile found in His mouth:

Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that Judgeth Righteously:

Who His Own Self bare our sins in His Own Body on the Tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto Righteousness: By whose stripes ye were healed.

For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

A Touch From Jesus

03/11/2016 11:25

Friend, take time today to be alone with Jesus.

It is so important for your soul. And He loves to commune with you. He created you and died for you to have companionship with you.

If you are unsure of your belief in Him, speak to Him about it. "Lord, I'm not sure! If you exist, please help me believe."

If you believe, tell Him who you believe Him to be. Allow the Spirit to correct you and help you. You do not have to be perfect with your words. Just begin to speak to Him, ramble and mumble and cry, whatever. Just begin somewhere and daily gain more prayer ground until you have a great carpet woven of your prayers, to kneel on spiritually.

Perhaps you're a writer, then put pen to paper and write your prayers.

Eventually you will start with thanksgiving for His Goodness and praising Him for His Sovereignty and blessing Him for all He does for you and then asking for your needs according to what you are learning about Him in your prayer time.

You will realize that just a touch from Him can change the course of your life and others around you.

This is when breakthrough for your life comes in. You will begin to see changes all around you. Subtle changes that lead to bigger breakthroughs and answer to prayer.

Yes, a touch from Jesus when we are fully willing to be led by His Will is a healing touch, indeed.
