1 Peter 2:1-3

02/19/2016 09:53

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby. 1Peter 2:1-3

Friend, scholars of the Bible have said that these words were written in 63AD near the end of the Disciple Peter's life.

He writes to all the peoples who are under his ministry and have become born again, and are following the teachings of Jesus, in 63AD.

He knows of the strifes and hard times they all are having and have had, and wishes to write something to them they can refer back to, when diverse issues plague their churches, gatherings and their personal tribulations.

If you are born again, the reading of this Book of the Bible 1 Peter will speak to you very personally. The Holy Spirit in conjunction with your new spirit, will reveal the mind of God to you concerning your sufferings and temptations.

A born again person should hear the Spirit speaking to them in this Book. Read it with a believer's heart as if Peter is writing to you.

At the end of verse 2 in the first chapter, Peter says to you, "Grace unto you and Peace, be multiplied."

Ahhh! How wonderful!

He says, "Receive the Peace of the Lord and the Grace for which He died that you might have." ( In today's words.)

Allow your soul and spirit to be a recipient of the Peace and Grace of the Lord and read through 1 Peter to hear what the Lord is saying to you.

He is speaking to the believers of old but His Words are for us today as well.

Trusting In The Lord

02/18/2016 09:18

Friend, it is imperative for our souls that we place full trust in the Lord for what He has done, for what He is doing and for what He is going to do in our lives.

He desires nothing but the best for us. However we may have wandered far from Him. We may have had our back turned to Him our whole lives. We may be in not one, but many bondages of sin.

He knows the Way out for us. He sees all. There is nothing about you that surprises Him. He sees all your insecurities, your abnormalities, your idiosyncracies, your penchants, and so on.

We are foolish to keep walking away. What are you walking from? There is nothing you can hide.

Your unbelief is foolishness to Him. He sees what it does to you but you will not allow Him to help you!

To continue to think the same way will not change things in your life. You will still be on the receiving end of all the madness of the world, but have no Way out.

Today we have all the social interactions over the internet where we can find like minded souls to encourage us as we walk our treacherous path to hell. Be careful.

God has made a Way for you and it is availabel to you while you live on this earth.

It is the Faith in Jesus Way and involves you trusting that the Father sent His Son to be a Sacrifice for your sins.

Seek Truth. He reveals Himself to the sincere seeker..

Jude 1:17-25

02/15/2016 19:41

Jude 1:17-25

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.

How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time. Who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not Spirit.

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most Holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Keep yourselves in the Love of God, looking for the Mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

And on some have compassion, making a difference:

And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Now unto Him that is able to keep you from failing, and to present you faultless before the presence of His Glory with exceeding joy,

To the only Wise God our Saviour, be Glory and Majesty, Dominion and Power, both now and forever. Amen.

God Does The Choosing

02/12/2016 11:45

Friend, it is God who does the choosing.

It is He who has chosen you. It is He who has brought you to this place, this day, this frame of mind, no matter what it is.

Perhaps you are feeling unloved. It is He who has allowed you this feeling and it is He who is calling you to  Himself to reveal His Son to you and show you Love Eternal and Complete; that you may have it for yourself.

He will fill the emptiness. He will heal the depression. He Loves.

He knows all your ways. He has seen all you have done and what you plan to do. He is waiting for you to look to Him for Love.

He has chosen you to be loved by Him.

It is you who have not given Him the permission to do so.

He is waiting. Always waiting while we live - even at the deathbed.

The time is now. Don't hesitate. Don't allow another second of bad thinking or bad choices to take hold of your soul and spirit.

God is Merciful while you live. You don't know how much time you have. But, God does!

Get rid of the unlovable areas of your life. Identify them and one by one, place them at the foot of the Cross of Jesus. Allow Him to burn them up in the Perfect Presence of His Love.

He has chosen you; will you yield?

Proverbs 3:11

02/10/2016 21:20

My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of Him. For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth.  Proverbs 3:11-12

King Solomon wrote these words for his son and they apply to all men and women who have professed faith in Jesus.

Solomon speaks with Holy Spirit wisdom (Godly Wisdom). He tells us that when we walk with the Lord, we are subject to being rebuked and chastened because we are sinners who have been forgiven.  But, because of our nature we will sin again, and the Lord has taken it upon Himself to cleanse us, and in doing so, we will be rebuked and chastened.

Jesus will use the staff and rod, as the Shepherd does, on us His sheep in His Pasture. He does not want us to go astray again and He stands ready to gently call and prod us back into the fold - when we stray away from the safety of the fold into what we think is greener pasture, but what He knows to be full of danger - cunning wolves, venomous snakes, fire-breathing dragons, evil demons, devious witches, roaring lions and deceitful humans.

When He prods and pokes us we shoud learn His Ways so that we understand that He is for us and not against us. He is looking out for our best interest; our wholeness in every aspect of our mind, body, soul and life.

He is the One we are seeking. He is the One we are needing.

And He is the One we deny. We harden our hearts towards Him to our own detriment.

He loves us!

The Book of Hebrews tells us that...If we endure chastening, God dealeth with you as sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not (disciplines)?   But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then ye are bastards, and not sons. Futhermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and LIVE. For they verily for a few days (of our lives) chasteneth us for their own pleasure; but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His Holiness.  Hebrews 13:7-10

Think on these words, they explain a lot of what we go through in life. It is the Father's Love that allows the trials, because His Son, Jesus has paid the price and is standing guard over us with His Mighty Angels and Holy Spirit to rebuke the enemy when we give Him full obedience. The Father trusts the Son implicitly as He is God - Himself.

He will go before us as our Mighty Warrior. Don't try to do it of your own volition. Take the back seat and enjoy the ride. Praise Him and thank Him for forgiveness that allows you to rest in His Care and Love.

Psalm 70

02/07/2016 21:20

Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me O Lord.

Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, "Aha, aha!"

Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee: and let such as love Thy Salvation say continually, " Let God be magnified."

But I am poor and needy; make haste unto me, O God,: thou art my help and my Deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.

PSALM 70 in it's entirety can be prayed as God's Word spoken back to Him. It is a powrful thing. He cannot deny it and will work things together for you when you pray these words with a believing heart and mind.

We Must Tune Our Ears To Him

02/05/2016 12:20

Friend, the Voice of the Lord is Mighty, yet it is conveyed to our inner spirit as a still small voice.

We must tune out the noises and voices of the world in order to allow the still small Voice of the Lord to be heard.

All of us are constantly talking within ourselves even when our lips are sealed.

That inner voice must be calmed and silenced.

It is easier on us to do this, than for the Lord to have to speak loudly to us in ways that can bring about jarring circumstances to our lives in order for us to "hear" Him.

He would rather we stop and listen to Him so He can gently and lovingly speak to us of the danger up ahead; the immediate need of someone else; and so much more to do with both our spiritual and physical lives.

Still the inner voices, and wait on Him. Go about your days with the confidence that He is guiding you, and be available to Him at all times for reproof and correction.

Read His Word to become familiar with how He speaks, and you will hear Him speak to you through His Word.

Things like, "My Grace is sufficient for the day" when you are facing a dilemma.

"I love you with an everlasting Love" when you feel unloved.

"All things come together for good to those who love Me" when you do not see the way out of trouble.

The Scriptures are filled with Words of Truth for each one of us and He expects us to embrace His Word.
