God Does The Choosing

02/12/2016 11:45

Friend, it is God who does the choosing.

It is He who has chosen you. It is He who has brought you to this place, this day, this frame of mind, no matter what it is.

Perhaps you are feeling unloved. It is He who has allowed you this feeling and it is He who is calling you to  Himself to reveal His Son to you and show you Love Eternal and Complete; that you may have it for yourself.

He will fill the emptiness. He will heal the depression. He Loves.

He knows all your ways. He has seen all you have done and what you plan to do. He is waiting for you to look to Him for Love.

He has chosen you to be loved by Him.

It is you who have not given Him the permission to do so.

He is waiting. Always waiting while we live - even at the deathbed.

The time is now. Don't hesitate. Don't allow another second of bad thinking or bad choices to take hold of your soul and spirit.

God is Merciful while you live. You don't know how much time you have. But, God does!

Get rid of the unlovable areas of your life. Identify them and one by one, place them at the foot of the Cross of Jesus. Allow Him to burn them up in the Perfect Presence of His Love.

He has chosen you; will you yield?

Proverbs 3:11

02/10/2016 21:20

My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of Him. For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth.  Proverbs 3:11-12

King Solomon wrote these words for his son and they apply to all men and women who have professed faith in Jesus.

Solomon speaks with Holy Spirit wisdom (Godly Wisdom). He tells us that when we walk with the Lord, we are subject to being rebuked and chastened because we are sinners who have been forgiven.  But, because of our nature we will sin again, and the Lord has taken it upon Himself to cleanse us, and in doing so, we will be rebuked and chastened.

Jesus will use the staff and rod, as the Shepherd does, on us His sheep in His Pasture. He does not want us to go astray again and He stands ready to gently call and prod us back into the fold - when we stray away from the safety of the fold into what we think is greener pasture, but what He knows to be full of danger - cunning wolves, venomous snakes, fire-breathing dragons, evil demons, devious witches, roaring lions and deceitful humans.

When He prods and pokes us we shoud learn His Ways so that we understand that He is for us and not against us. He is looking out for our best interest; our wholeness in every aspect of our mind, body, soul and life.

He is the One we are seeking. He is the One we are needing.

And He is the One we deny. We harden our hearts towards Him to our own detriment.

He loves us!

The Book of Hebrews tells us that...If we endure chastening, God dealeth with you as sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not (disciplines)?   But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then ye are bastards, and not sons. Futhermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and LIVE. For they verily for a few days (of our lives) chasteneth us for their own pleasure; but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His Holiness.  Hebrews 13:7-10

Think on these words, they explain a lot of what we go through in life. It is the Father's Love that allows the trials, because His Son, Jesus has paid the price and is standing guard over us with His Mighty Angels and Holy Spirit to rebuke the enemy when we give Him full obedience. The Father trusts the Son implicitly as He is God - Himself.

He will go before us as our Mighty Warrior. Don't try to do it of your own volition. Take the back seat and enjoy the ride. Praise Him and thank Him for forgiveness that allows you to rest in His Care and Love.

Psalm 70

02/07/2016 21:20

Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me O Lord.

Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, "Aha, aha!"

Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee: and let such as love Thy Salvation say continually, " Let God be magnified."

But I am poor and needy; make haste unto me, O God,: thou art my help and my Deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.

PSALM 70 in it's entirety can be prayed as God's Word spoken back to Him. It is a powrful thing. He cannot deny it and will work things together for you when you pray these words with a believing heart and mind.

We Must Tune Our Ears To Him

02/05/2016 12:20

Friend, the Voice of the Lord is Mighty, yet it is conveyed to our inner spirit as a still small voice.

We must tune out the noises and voices of the world in order to allow the still small Voice of the Lord to be heard.

All of us are constantly talking within ourselves even when our lips are sealed.

That inner voice must be calmed and silenced.

It is easier on us to do this, than for the Lord to have to speak loudly to us in ways that can bring about jarring circumstances to our lives in order for us to "hear" Him.

He would rather we stop and listen to Him so He can gently and lovingly speak to us of the danger up ahead; the immediate need of someone else; and so much more to do with both our spiritual and physical lives.

Still the inner voices, and wait on Him. Go about your days with the confidence that He is guiding you, and be available to Him at all times for reproof and correction.

Read His Word to become familiar with how He speaks, and you will hear Him speak to you through His Word.

Things like, "My Grace is sufficient for the day" when you are facing a dilemma.

"I love you with an everlasting Love" when you feel unloved.

"All things come together for good to those who love Me" when you do not see the way out of trouble.

The Scriptures are filled with Words of Truth for each one of us and He expects us to embrace His Word.

The Good Thing

02/04/2016 18:58

Friend, it is a "good thing" to be thankful to Holy Triune God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Recognizing what He has done for us blesses Him and strengthens our faith in Him which in turn blesses us.

It's true, like the old saying goes, "Count your blessings!"

Enumerate to the Father now why you are thankful.

For His Son; the Plan to redeem you; the new path you are on; His Love of you and yours; the peace He brings; the joy in your soul; the knowledge He bestows; answered prayer....

There's so much. Break them down and you will find many small things He has done that you haven't paid attention to previously.

All good things in your life and the life of others come from Him. Praise Him!

Has He been Merciful?

The Book of Psalms is a wonderful area to start reading to find the words of praise that are acceptable to God.

Praise takes our mind off our worries, concerns, and fears. It focuses on God and what He has done, and is going to do.

Giving thanks gladdens the Heart of God and always benefits us as well.

It is a privilege to praise Him. A Pure and Holy God accepting praise from any one of us is truly the most gracious and loving gesture - that of a Father encouraging His child, you.

Mark 7:14b-23

01/31/2016 12:44

Words spoken by Jesus as recorded by the Disciple Mark (second book of New Testament)

Hearken unto Me everyone of you, and understand.

There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.

If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

And when He was entered into the house from the people, His disciples  asked Him concerning the parable. And He saith unto them,

Are ye so without understanding also?

Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into man, it cannot defile him; because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

That which cometh out of the man; that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, laciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: all these evil things come from within, and defile a man.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Word of God clearly speaks to all men and women as to what God sees in us that is evil and asks us to understand that the evil that is in our hearts is not acceptable to Him.

We must be on a course to rid ourselves of that evil that comes out of us.

However God knew we could not do this without His help.  His Son had to be Sacrificed as a payment for our sins. Those of us who would accept His Sacrifice, are to thank Him for the Blood that washes us clean, and for releasing the Holy Spirit into the world for us to grow and learn the spiritual reality of life.

Our hearts influence our mind.

A dark and evil heart will have dark and evil thoughts and dark and evil actions will be the engine that drives our life; revenge, anger, hate, jealousy, cunning, suspiciousness, covetousness, maliciousness and all the other foolishnesses that bring mayhem into the world.

We allow the evil demons to infiltrate our hearts and show us the things which God does not want us to see and we get hooked and rationalize to ourselves that we are justified in thinking "this" way, because of; my childhood, my parents, my job, I deserve, me, me me, I, I, I and etc.

No, read again the Words of Jesus. The devil and his army of demons are WRONG!!!

Get out of their entrapment NOW!!!

First step. Tell the Father that you need a Saviour and accept His Son Jesus as your Redeemer God.

Second step. Accept the Word of God as your Guide Book for Life, and read it. (Begin with New Testament)

Third step. Speak to God any time. He is with you always.

Fourth step. Stay the course and grow from a baby believer to a mature knowledgable believer able to show others the Way.

Fifth step. When death comes be ready for a joyous reunion of your soul with Holy God. No need to fear death for any believer - baby or otherwise.

God Will Make a Way

01/31/2016 09:12

Friend, are you struggling with something and unable to turn your back to it?

God will make a Way for you; actually He has already prepared the Way!

He knows what you are struggling against. He has allowed it and when you are sick and tired of it, and make a choice to believe He can help you, He will.

Until you step aside and humbly give Him the Power over the situation, you are limiting Him by your own desires.

Maybe you like being the victim - it suits your view of life and you benefit somehow.

Maybe you want to be the strong one who overcomes by yourself.

Maybe you just don't believe in God, but you place idols before you as gods ( animals, statues, ideas that don't include Jesus as God.)

All these choices and more that are not directly focused on God as your Provider, Healer, keep Him from being the Waymaker.

But, friend, God will make a Way for His believeing children when they are ready to hand over the reins to Him. He waits for us to allow Him to lead us through the maze of life into Eternal Love.

Choose Jesus as your Saviour Redeemer and tell Him you need His help. Make your whole waking hours one open prayer of communication so you are aware of His Presence all day. A Spiritual Presence by your side Who loves you, will guide you and Who has your best interests at heart.

There may be a lot of correcting but as you grasp the new Way and stay committed, you will come to know the essence of Jesus, that of Peace, Love, Truth, Wisdom, Discernment, and Joy.

Soon you will see that God made a Way for you where there seemed to be no way.
