2 Corinthians 4:18

Meditation

Scripture verse for today.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18

The apostle Paul advises the believers at Corinth, also us today, to search out the things of God's Word which are not seen - because they have eternal value.

Some things I have found are;

God is true and solid in all His doings

He will pardon us if we accept His Son as our Saviour King

He is the God of second chances - while we breathe

He will guide and direct us

He has a plan and purpose for each one of us

He always deals with us from a loving standpoint, but not as One who can be deceived as we so often attempt to do with our earthly family.

Paul reminds us that the things of this world are fleeting and are in a state of decay just as we are. Paul urges us to look to eternal values for our source of enjoyment.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the promises You have written for us in Your word. Help me to seek them out and live them daily. Amen.
