Grace to Overcome

Friend, the Scripture above is proof that God desires us to Glorify Him in all we do.

But how does our continual delving into sinful behaviours in the name of His Grace, Glorify Him?

There is a movement held up by satan today that because Jesus died for mankind and has paid the price for all, we are therefore absolved and may go on our merry way continuing to sin and at the end, He will welcome us into the Kingdom.

Friend, this is a LIE.

The Bible, God's inerrant Holy Word of Truth and Light, speaks much to us about overcoming the sinful aspects of our lives.

"For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning." 2 Peter 2:20 KJV

"Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin." Hebrews 10:18 KJV

"Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of Righteousness." Romans 6:18 KJV

"God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" Romans 6:2 KJV

"Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof." Romans 6:12 KJV

"But exhort one another daily, while it is called to-day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." Hebrews 3:13 KJV

"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17 KJV

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?" Romans 6:1 KJV

"What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid." Romans 6:15 KJV

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 KJV

Believers in Christ Jesus are to continually check themselves; continually make decisions for their lives based on God's Word.

Knowing we have sinned and understanding that sin is against God for He Is Pure, we must repent to Him and receive continual Holy Forgiveness until we are able to, in His Strength, overcome each sinful thought or behaviour to His Glory.

For without Him we could not do it, and have the relationship with Him more and more strengthened in Love for Him to where we give Him the Glory and have no desire to say, "I did it!"

Greater is He Who Is in us, than the he of this world, satan.
