Does God Extend Grace To Us

02/10/2020 22:52

Friend, the Bible is where to go to find out if God extends Grace to us; and how and why it is extended.

In Genesis, the first Book of the Bible, written by Moses at least 1200 years bc, to explain to the Israelites their origin, we hear about God's Grace in Noah, who was to build the Ark. "But Noah found Grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Noah was extended Grace by God for Noah's belief in Almighty God and faithfulness to Him and His Ways and Will; showing us that we will find this same Grace of God in our lives, when we believe and stand firm in faithfulness to Him and His Law.

This Law of submitting to God's Will, which is Righteous in every way, will extend Grace to us in our lives; we can be sure.

God spared Noah and his family from the Great Flood. Because of Noah's belief, he and his family found Grace.

God offers His Grace in our lives today; through belief in His Son.

Jesus paid the price for our sin.

Genesis 6:8 Context

5And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart. 7And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created, from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth Me that I have made them. 8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man, and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Friend, Moses too found Grace extended to him. God found him to be faithful in all his ways and Moses received God's Grace upon his life.

Exodus 33:17

“And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in My sight, and I know thee by name.”

Friend, we see in Psalms written thousands of years after Genesis that Grace is a thing that God is offering to people to help them in their lives.

All it requires to receive God's Grace is to walk uprightly in God's Law.

Psalms 84:11

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

Friend, the Book of Luke is a description of events that the physician Luke, who became an evangelist, travelling with Paul the Apostle, who after examining the written accounts of Jesus, wrote his own observations and experiences as the only non-Jewish writer in the Bible.

He tells us that The Grace of God was upon Jesus throughout His life on earth ( earth incarnation.)

Luke 2:40

“And the Child (Jesus) grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with Wisdom: and the Grace of God was upon Him.”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friend, in the Book of John, he makes the statement (below) showing us that before Jesus died on the Cross, Grace was extended through the obedience to the Law, and that full Grace and Truth came because Jesus made a Way for all to have Grace should they desire, by believing in God's Truth and being faithful to God because He is The Truth.

John 1:17

“For the Law was given by Moses, but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ.”

Friend, the writer of Acts, thought to be the Apostle Paul, speaks of The Grace of God. He is compelled to teach of God's Grace because he found it to be absolutley everything Grace should be.

Our existence on earth is more livable knowing we have God's Grace covering our infallibilities.

Staying faithful through both times of good and bad proves to God our faithfulness and in return He Forgives our mistakes, stumblings and errors in judgement.

When we in faith, talk to Him of our needs, our sin, our lack of understanding and our humanity, He covers us with Grace and we are able to go on knowing He cares, He forgives, He guides, He teaches, He Loves us.

Acts 20:24

“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the Gospel of The Grace of God.”

Friend, In Romans, the Apostle Paul, who became born-again when he encountered Jesus (who had been Resurrected,) on the road to Damascus where he was going to apprehend many born-again believers and bring them back to Jerusalem to be jailed as heretics to the Jewish religion, speaks of the Grace we receive from Jesus when we believe and have faith that Jesus is God and He died as The Sacrifice required by The Father to fulfill the Law of the Old Testament.

When we accept Jesus as our Saviour, we receive Salvation.

God Almighty looks at us differently. He examines the heart to see if we have truly repented of our old ways, that were sinful according to the Law.

When He sees the heart and mind no longer wish to be part of the sinful world, He covers us in the Blood of His Son and we then walk in Grace for the rest of our days, for choosing to be obedient to our faith in Him.

Romans 1:5

“By Whom we have received Grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His Name:”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friend, when we make the choice to choose Jesus as our Saviour, we are ready to repent of our old ways knowing they are full of sin and against The Law of God.

God then chooses by His Law, to Redeem us, into the fold of Heavenly believers of The Redeemed in Jesus.

It's called Redemption.

God then Justifies us and blesses us with Grace.

It is what we walk in, God's Grace; once we are Redeemed.

Romans 3:24

“Being Justified freely by His Grace through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus:”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friend, we are able to access God's Grace through faith in who Jesus is, because of what He has done for each of us.

Romans 5:2

“By Whom (Jesus,) also we have access by faith into this Grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in Hope of the Glory of God.”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friend, these are powerful Bible Verses on Grace.

They prove God loves those He Redeems, eternally.

He gives Grace that Justifies us until The Judgement where it will be proved how faithful we were.

He is our Hope, Light and Truth!
