The Closed Mind

Friend, we all know someone who has a closed mind to all things Godly; for whatever reasons, an abusive childhood, an absent father, a home of angry bitter people, even a home of "good" people" produces closed minds.

Many of us grow up indoctrinated into unbelief in God, just as others grow up into believers, indoctrinated into the faith.

The children from believing homes can be easily led astray by evil when exposed and free in the crazy and evil world. 

The demons lie in wait, knowing all our proclivities.

If any of those are prodigals, they will return to the flock and be welcomed at some stage after the world has chewed them up and spat them out.

But all others will go to the grave as rabid unbelievers, if they do not open their heart and mind to the possibility of God.

The Spirit works tirelessly to bring all to the Saving Grace of Jesus, but many protect their closed mind and will not hear of the slightest mention of Him.

Ah yes, the closed mind, so knowledgable about all things.

They have it all worked out.

Everything, all the lies of the devil have been taken in and set in the stone of their hearts.  

Believers seem to be of similar bent in the unbelievers mind; rabid "know alls," "hypocrites," "goody two shoes," part of the "God squad!"  The unbeliever's perception is derived from, and driven by, their desire to never hear any mention of God.

They immediately get their back up, ready for a fight, and a witty word to put the believer down, "in their place" and "shut them up."

But that is okay. God sees all.

He sees the believers being compassionate, helpful, loving and kind and he sees the unbeliever being unkind, nasty, mean and foolish in it's choices - job description of man before he becomes enlightened.

But friend, the closed mind can be opened at any time during it's life on earth.

The whole purpose for being, is to find God; have a relationship with Him and share your knowledge.

Evil leads us down the paths of highs and lows.

It loves to see us in depressed states.

It offers us all kinds of earthly delicacies (evil); that will develop into lusts and addictions, causing us no end of harm to our mind, body and soul while keeping the Spirit at bay.

We, run to them.

We love them.

We hide them.

We make excuses for them, and we justify them to ourselves and others - even to the point of blaming others for our problems.

They become our secrets until the whole world can see them displayed on our person as soon as we leave our home or someone accuses us and our house of cards comes crashing down.

It's important for you to know that the closed mind does not have a lock on it and the spirit is constantly at work encouraging the owner of the closed mind to let it open a little, so the Light of Heaven can shine into the darkness.

Take some time today if this seems to be yourself, and allow the spirit of God to minister to you, for you cannot help another until you have experienced the awakening that is a Gift you may have; an '"open mind."

It is in the "open mind" that the spirit is able to reveal great and mighty Heavenly Truths to you.

No, not worldly spiritual things, but Truth, Wisdom, Law, Love, Peace according to God.

The Good Things that our forefathers foolishly brushed aside in favour of knowing evil which was wrapped in deceitful coverings so as to confuse and entice.

But, today God offers you the ability to begin to regain Knowledge and Wisdom.

Just open the closed mind to Him.
