Why Pray?

Why should we pray?

Luke 18:1 Man ought always to pray.

Firstly it is a way of commuicating with our Father in Heaven, our Lord and Saviour and The Holy Spirit all at once.

Prayer is just that; communication with God.

Mark 11:24  Therefore I say unto you, what things, so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.

Real prayer involves humbling the heart before The Trinity, recognizing Their Majesty, giving thanks, asking for forgiveness, asking for help for others individually, ourselves, our rulers, the nation and world.

1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.

During prayer times we should listen so we are able to receive images, and words to help us to know God's Answers.

There will be times when we don't have time because of an emergency, to go through the steps above, and we call out to God. This too is prayer and should come from a deep belief that He will Help.

Quick short prayers are always acceptable to God also.

Just speaking to Him during the day wherever we may be, is always good, as it keeps our mind centered on Him.

Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto Me and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Our requests should never be outside the Law of God.

John 14"13 Whatsoever you ask in My Name, that will I do, that The Father may be Glorified in The Son. If you ask anything in My Name, I will do it. If you love Me, keep My Commansments. (The Law; only ask within The Law.)

Ending prayer with, "In Your Name, and according to Your Will, let it be." or words to that effect, shows you are willing to submit to His Authority because you know it is the Highest Authority and Good and Pure.

God never uses His Power for evil. He fights evil and He judges evil and evil is subject to The Law of God and Godly Punishment will be meted out according to Law.

God Is Law. He Is Truth. He Is Love. He Is Word.

Shall I go on? He Is Everything,

We will be amazed at His Glory and Majesty when we see Him in the Afterlife!

Will we fall to our knees in awe and love or will we fall to our knees in fear and agony?
