Romans 8:1

01/08/2016 09:58

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

Friend, in this Bible verse the Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul speaks to all believers. He tells us that when we are a believer and follow the teachings of Christ, we will never be condemned by God.

Believers receive the Righteousness of Christ as a covering so that God recognizes us as sons and daughters of His.

God sees that we need work to help us in our daily walk and to make sure that we do not slide back into sin. He has left the Holy Spirit and all the angels at His command to minister to us, here on planet earth.

You will feel convicted of sin; of the words that you use, and of the thoughts you think. This is conviction from the Holy Spirit. He is showing you that changes need to be made for your soul's wellness and growth in the spirit.

Yes, you are a sinner, saved by Grace and God's Mercy keeps you alive until the day when your soul is required in Heaven.  The Spirit strives with you and desires you to be a willing student. One that He can use to further His "army."

Will you always be a baby Christian or are you willing to learn and grow in Grace and Mercy so that you can be a blessing to others in their quest for Truth?

Friend, be open to the leading of the Spirit and be willing to be an active participant as he leads.

Why Distress Yourself?

01/04/2016 14:34

Friend, look for God in all your circumstances each day.

Are not the circumstances of your day, His Will? They should be for a believer.

Therefore, relax and be calm. Stand steady and know that He is for you and if you are willing to be in his Will and only His Will, He will bring you through to the end of His Will for you.

Do you see that this is the only place to be and to desire to be? His Will.

He can be trusted. He is faithful to those who are faithful to Him and even the one who once was faithful but now is less so, He will be faithful to.

You will see it as you look at each day's proceedings.

Be alert to seeing His Will in action. Desire to behold in a new Light, the Ways and Plans He has for your life.

This journey is the best one for your life. The world talks of journeys but this one my friend, is the Ultimate Journey - resting and abiding in His Will.

The Patience Of God

01/03/2016 21:32

Friend, how many times have you been snatched from the jaws of evil and not recognized His Hand?

As you look back on 2015, you may recognize that He had something to do with your very survival into 2016.

Praise Him!

Many are the times when God saves us from ourselves and we go merrily on our way without a word of thanks.

If anything good has happened to you, the smallest thing, it is from God for He is Good all the time, and all good things come from Him.

Maybe you're living a sinful lifestyle and sinful things have come your way - friend, these are not from God for He is not a tempter.

Those are gifts from the evil one who will require your soul unless you make a new choice  - Jesus, the creator of your spirit.

This is why being born again of the spirit is so important to Him. We can at any time, have our eyes opened and be able to hear when before we thought we saw and heard just fine.

The song Amazing Grace says it so well...I once was blind but now I see.

Do you walk on the rocky road? Is your mind unstable? Are the sounds of the world, just screeching madness?

There is peace and stability stored up for you. Jesus has a Beautiful Gift in His hand and it's offered to you, right now.

Accept it, my friend. He knows the pain you carry, the burdens that weigh you down and the abandonment you feel.

He can and will restore you when you acknowledge Him as King of your heart and mind.

Meditation Psalm 19:7-9

12/29/2015 19:13

Meditation Verse for today

Scripture.

The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

The Statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart:  the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever: the judgements of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. Psalm 19:7-9  KJV

David has discovered that the Law of God is perfect.  The perfection of who God is and what He stands for will convert a seeking heart. It cannot deny the Truth it sees.

God is Good and at the same time, greatly to be feared.  He holds the soul of man in His hands and His Judgement is Just.

When we have a healthy fear of the Lord which is a recognition of Who He is, we have gained knowledge that is pure and will be an anchor that holds us to God as we live our daily life.

Let us live with the knowledge of a fearsome and all powerful God who loves us and has made a Way for us to be reconciled to Him so that any fear is converted to love and respect for Him.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your Perfection and Power.  Help me to acknowledge these Godly qualities and place in me a desire to dive deeper into Your Word so that I may grow in Truth.  Amen.

Idol Worship

12/29/2015 11:55

It is an ill day for a people when their gods are worse than themselves. Charles Spurgeon

Friend, ask yourself if you worship anything in your life other than the Lord Jesus.

Worship to God is anything we believe in that replaces Him.

Some people love their animals more than the One who created them and allowed them in your life. He is the One who worked all things together so that you could have that special connection with your animal. So you see, He is above the love you have for the animal. He is the One to be praised for the love connection you have with your special creature. Both you and the creature should be worshipping Him.

Be careful not to worship your "self" as many do in these days.

The many other great religions based on man's conjectures and traditions and observations in the natural world of the heavens, and human relations are all considered by Holy God to be idol worship.

Many create their own beliefs based on the "goodness" of their own minds - what they would do in certain circumstances.

Let the word of God be your guide for daily living so that you do not go down the paths of unrighteousness.

God is always calling us back from these paths, but many keep their back turned pretending not to hear Him.

He is not fooled and we will see at the Judgement that we only fooled ourselves.

Today is the day to investigate our own soul's beliefs and bring them into line with what Almighty God has said in the Word of God.

For those who do not know or do not have acces to the Bible; God tells us clearly all through the Bible, that His Son is Who we must love and honour in order for our soul to have eternal Life.

He is Jealous for His Son who He sent to be a Sacrifice for our sins and He will not tolerate any idols we worship in place of Jesus.

If you were to pass from this world to-night, would He receive you based on this pivotal fact from His Word?

Charles Spurgeon on Forgiveness

12/29/2015 11:14

Friend, a believer is required to forgive and forgive often and always.

The following prayer written by Charles Spurgeon the eloquent English pastor of the 1800's is a wonderful example of how to pray and what to say in prayer to God. Use it often making sure that your request is one that would bring glory and honour to Jesus the Son.

"Lord, thou knowest the straits I am in; thou knowest how undeserving I am; thou knowest what a poor, undone creature I am before thee; but if thy dear Son shall help and save me the very angels will stand and wonder at His mighty grace, and so it will bring glory to Him, therefore I entreat thee be gracious unto me."

Spurgeon goes on...

Be sure thou art certain to prevail if thou canst plead that it will glorify Christ, and surely thou wouldest not wish to have a thing that would not glorify him. Thy prayer shall always be prevalent, if thy heart be in such a state that thou art willing to have or not to have, according as it will honour thy Lord: if it will not glorify Christ, be thou more than content to do without the choicest earthly good; but be thou doubly grateful when the boon that is granted tends to bring honour to the ever dear and worshipful name of Jesus.

"For Christ's sake." It is a precious word; dwell upon it, and lay up this sentence in the archives of thy memory-the Father will do anything for the sake of Jesus Christ His Son.

Tender Heart

12/28/2015 12:01

Friend, the Lord requires we have a tender heart.

The hard-heartedness within us is a barrier that the Lord asks us to breakdown.

The damage we have done to our hearts must be undone.

Where we have built walls and fortresses to keep us from being hurt, we must begin to trust our Saviour to work with us and to lead the Way out of the maze of bad memories and depression, and untruths that we have allowed to become part of our soul's baggage.

These things have made us emotionally and physically sick.

The Lord is asking us everyday for access to these areas within us so He can calm us, apply the healing balm and renew our minds and hearts.

Sinfulness hardens our hearts also and we are wise to begin to recognize when the Holy Spirit convicts us that something we are contemplating doing, is sinful.

We love to harden our lovely soul and spirit with the hard shell of sin. Layers and layers we allow as we go deeper into the madness of the sins we engage in.

We are wise to remember He is with us and will walk us through the pain of cutting off the sin and hacking away at the hard shell to expose our spirit to the fresh rain of our Lord's Love for us.

Make it a plan to be open to His Lead and follow Him like a child - open to the new experience of higher spirituality.

This will expose a tender heart. One the Lord will be pleased to have a relationship with.
