Friend, have you found that there are influences in your world of daily life that threaten to keep you from a close and intimate relationship with Jesus the Saviour of your soul?

I have. 

Sorrow and sadness chase after us to trip us and make us a victim of our circumstances, but know this; the mind is the true battlefield.  When you can overcome in your mind you will be truly victorious.

Decide today to bring all thoughts under your control with the Holy Spirit's help. He is waiting for you to ask Him for help as follows: Holy Spirit, thank You for Your care and concern for me.  I ask You to help me overcome the battles in my mind.  Show to me the things that are important to work on.  Help me to defeat all the thoughts that lead to ungodly conclusions and deeds.   Remind me of God's provision and love when I am fearful and anxious. Quell the doubting thoughts and bring me into a right relationship with Jesus.  Praise God and blessed be the name of Jesus. Amen

The disciple of Jesus, John wrote the following words.....

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the Throne and the beasts and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands and thousands; saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive Power, and Riches and Wisdom and Strength, and Honour, and Glory and Blessing."  Revelation 5:11-12

Friend, John was given a private viewing of the Throne Room of God and he saw the Lamb of God (Jesus) with millions of beings loudly saying "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain."

Jesus was the worthy sacrifice.  All Heaven recognizes it and John tells us so we know who to believe.  God said Jesus was worthy.  In no other writings does it say anyone else was worthy to be the Sacrifice that was required by God to reconciliate the human race to God.

John shows us through his writing that this is the acceptable thing to praise Jesus for - His worthiness.  The angels praise Him for this very thing and it is acceptable to God.

As we praise Him we connect with the angels in Heaven and become one with the Heavenly realm during those times of worship and praise.

To praise Him is a gift for us, from God.  We gain so much in our spirit and soul.  Many times, healing of emotions and even the body can occur when we lose ourselves in praise.

Negativity and depression must flee when you praise Him.  They cannot stand in the midst of genuine praise.

Accept your lot and put aside anger at God for the condition of your life and know that He is God, He is Good, and that He is worthy to be praised.

Just say it.  "Lord, You are worthy to be praised. Worthy, worthy, worthy are you Lord God Almighty.  I stand with You as a believer and love Your Goodness and Power over all things.  Thank You for the Cross and Your Sacrifice for me to gain eternal Life with You. You are my King and I believe Your name is above all names.  Guide and direct me into a new and beautiful relationship with You so I may grow in spirit and my soul will be forever sealed to the Kingdom of Almighty Father.  Praise You Lord! King of Kings!"

Friend, the Lord's Word for us every day when we arise is, "Stay the course, my beloved!"

He sees the conditions that are set before us and knows we will need to stay the course with Him in order to overcome the obstacles that evil has put in our way.

But, God has plans to help us be overcomers when we have the will to stay the course with Him.

He will, minute by minute give us the courage, the peace and strength to move forward through the murky mire when we look to Him for those qualitites and help in our time of need.

Be thankful that you have this beautiful bond with your Saviour and stay close to Him with thanksgiving in your heart for His tender loving care.

In prayer, communicate your needs and worry and fear to Him.  Let Him take those burdens on and leave them to Him to cut away from you like a surgeon would cut a cancer out of your body.  The Lord will cut those things from your spiritual life and your soul if you allow.

Satan cannot win when you pray and speak to your King of all Kings, Jesus.  It is a Law of God that satan will not win when you have committed your will to God's care.

Today, I needed to hear that my Lord will not forsake me.  He will not leave me alone.  He is with me wherever I go and even though I go into the lion's evil lair, I am still covered in His Strength and Peace and Protection.

Evil will not prosper against me.  Like the bible verse says, "No weapon formed against me shall prosper." Isaiah 54:17

As a believer you can claim this as your own mantra for the day.

Meditation

Friend, we must trust the Holy Spirit to do a good work in us and to lead us to Jesus.

The Spirit is constantly working with us to draw us into the knowledge of who Jesus is and to grow us into people fit for the Kingdom of God.

The Bible says the Spirit searches all things and makes intercession between us and God according to the Will of God for us.

As seekers and searchers of Truth, we come to a place in our spirit where we realize that God is who He says He is and must be all these things in order to be a Good and Perfect God. 

In the form of the Holy Spirit, God has written His words through people of His choosing to convey what He wants us to know.

All we need to do is test the words to see if they are pure and then accept or trust that the Spirit of God has moved in such a way that simple sinners could understand the words and also that learned and scholarly men with a pure heart could also understand and interpret.

The Spirit tells us in God's Holy Bible that God is Love and if we receive His Word and believe, we will have life eternal. 

In Jeremiah 31:3 He says, "I have loved thee with an everlasting Love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee (to Me). 

His love is life-giving.  Acceptance of the free Gift of His Love brings peace to the soul and joy to the heart for the forgiveness of sins and the knowledge that God is Love and seeks only goodness for us.

Friend, are you sharing your life with your Wonderful Counsellor?

He delights in giving wise advice for your life.  He loves the conversation and companionship you offer Him.

Listen to Him and He will give you a "Word of Truth and Life."

Focus on Him, the Goodness of who He is and stop the idle thoughts that threaten to keep Him from you. Bring all thoughts into alignment and let them all be spiritually centered on who God is.

When we are clearly centered on Him and His Word and Law, then we will hear from Him.

He seeks to be ever growing us spiritually.  He is the One who knows where you must go and what issues you must deal with and how much pain you will face.

He seeks the path that will bring you to the perfect outcome but sometimes we do not want to go on that path, we seek one we think may be easier.

But, friend, He sees that path too and knows that it is not the correct one; for your nature, for your spiritual growth.

Only the one He has chosen for you is the correct one.  Satan will offer an easy route, but because he is evil; it will not lead you to the correct source of Life.  That route is a detour and one designed to capture you and hold you until your time is up and you are found in that predicament of not knowing or having found God's Son, Jesus as your Saviour.

Our Wonderful Counsellor seeks to have your consent to work with you.

91:2  I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.

91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways.

91:12 There shall, no evil befall me, neither shall any plague come near my dwelling.

91:14 Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will God deliver me and set me on high, because I have known God's Name.

91:15 I shall call on God and He will answer me and be with me in times of trouble. God will deliver me  and give me long life.
